Mancini out (Merged)

I honestly think someone like Owen Coyle would improve this team. He did a fantastic job with Burnley, is doing great with Bolton, and has a good eye for young players, nuturing Sturridge and Wilshere. That is what City needs to be built around in my opinion, hungry, young players, keen to prove something. Not guys who are going to be here for one last big pay cheque. He plays positive football, knows whats required in England, and commands respect.

There are plenty of options, that don't include Mourinho. Villas-Boas, Hiddink, Tuchel, Emery, are all possibilities.

Yea, not guys who are going to be here for the pay cheque, unlike most football managers on the managerial merry-go-round! Get real. Mancini is looking 5, 10 years ahead to build something, and he'll learn the ways of the English Prem, given time. You have to believe he has the intelligence.
The only foolish thing to do would be to de-stabilise the team and get a new man in. It would set us back years in our overall development.

I don't believe Mancini is the right man for this club. At all. I don't think the players respect him, or even like him. He's aloof, stubborn and won't change. Yes stability, is needed, but with the right man, and the signs are all pointing towards Mancini being the wrong man. Keeping him could be more harmful, then bringing in someone new.

How do you get a man who is happy where he is and who the club don't want to sack (if he loses all four El Classicos coming up, the Madrid trigger finger brigade may change their mind though), factoring in they are second to us on the rich list and are the biggest club in the world? This is one deal that even Mansour's millions can't pull off if there is no intent from Mourinho to come here and force his way out of Real.

I take it you dont follow Spanish football then? Mourinho isnt liked by any of the heirachy at Madrid and they both want different things. He has learnt that he wont get his own way at Madrid and i would not be surprised if hes out of there come the end of the season.

The prime example is in the january transfer window. He wanted Adebayor and the board wanted Llorente. Yes they got Ade on loan but Mourinho wanted him on permanent basis but the board refused and in the summer they will go all out for Llorente despite Mourinho not wanting him.

At City Mourinho would be allowed to the run the club the way he wants and that is how it should be run. The people who own the club should only worry about coughing up the funds to keep the club running and improving it and then its the managers job to provide victories and trophies. At Madrid he doesnt get that and he isnt happy.

Mancini will not change the way he wants to play and he is acting like a spoilt child. The players hes brought in arent good enough and dont give me this bullshit about giving them time because the game is the same all around the world. Yes the weathers different and the language but football is played with your feet and not with your mouth. The sooner hes gone the better, hes had time and hes failed so time to move on. If we win on saturday that wont change my opinion on the man and if we get champs league football it still wont change. For £250m plus all the talent thats already here getting 3rd or 4th isnt good enough. We should be challenging for the title but he doesnt want to.

I follow it closely and the last reports I read said the Madrid brass had given Mourinho more arm room and that he's more content now. Those quotes don't suggest unhappiness do they?

If he wants out, now is the time to begin maneuvering his way out but his quotes are to the contrary and make him sound completely happy with his job. I mean why would he practically devote his near future (contract length) to the club so close to the end of the season?

Speaking of which, Bild in Germany is saying Real have discovered a 6m buyout clause in Sahin's contract (ridiculously cheap for an amazing young player) and that Real are signing him - a definite Mourinho signing (like Ozil and Khedira) if true and for when? Next season.

Only way I see him leaving personally is if the famous Madrid trigger finger pushes the trapdoor button again (ie, disaster in the upcoming El Classico series), which is always a possibility but even Perez has to see toppling Barcelona is going to be a long and difficult process, if it can be done at all, and there's no one better than Mourinho to have a go. And if they sack Mourinho, who then?

Jose was after Kolorov, big time. I am a Jose inner btw.

I have similar reservations about Hiddink, and Boas would represent a huge gamble.

Ancelotti is a feasible candidate, but he's not had a great season either.

True about Ancelotti this season but last season (before Abramovich starting sticking his oar in) he won the double. Also, after tonight he is almost certainly gone from Chelsea.
Yes please, Jose or Carlo would do me.

Ps
I still think we may get capello.
