Just don't get the Mancini outers.......why? No consistency = changing fucking managers all the time.
Well said. I can rarely be arsed to post on these Mancini Out threads. They're just too tedious and I tend to ignore them. But I just cannot understand the people who want him out, yes he made a mistake on Monday but if every time a manager made a mistake he got sacked, then about 5 managers in the Premier League would get sacked every weekend. We're doing better under Mancini than we were under Hughes, just look at what he's done to our defence for one thing, second best in the league apart from Chelsea and players like Vincent Kompany and Micah Richards have blossomed since he has been here. For all we know by the end of the season we finish in the top 4 and win the FA Cup, this could be a fantastic season for us, an historic season and people want us to change the manager?! Just be glad for what you have, 12 years ago we were fighting for promotion in Division 2... City are back. Can we not just enjoy it?

how many games have you been to and come out thinking "that was great"?

but i suppose if you think that mancini has made just one mistake then i think you must just watch games on motd sadly

look at Wenger built a team for 15+ years and has won nothing in th past 6 years yet Arsenal still stick with him.

And how many times in those 15+ years have they played like the utter garbage we have been playing over the past months?

I think all clubs can accept not actually winning, so long as you look like you might, and that you are busting a gut trying.

Bad results + decent play + total commitment = OK
Bad results + dire play + can't be arsed attitude from players is not the same thing is it.

Still, win on Saturday and everything changes. I am certainly not advocating sacking him until the end of the season when we should then take stock and have a long think about the plans for the next 3 years based on what we actually achieved.

And this is the whole point, isn't it. Apart from the last paragraph, it sums up what so many of us think. (I don't think a win on saturday would turn an incompetent manager into a good one)
D D will keep on coming on here talking sense as long as he sees unbelievable tripe being spouted by Blues who support a manager who brings the worst out of good players.
Mancini should go now.

Irrespective of how low your opinion of him may be, "now" is the wrong time to sack him.

You have to accept that there is still a chance we might win on Saturday, and if we do, a chance we will lift the FA Cup for the 1st time in decades.

Whether or not you want to sack him afterwards is up to you.

So how do you explain such a 'great' manager as Fergie taking his Man United team from 2nd to 11th then 13th ? Was Fergie bringing out the 'worst' out of good players or was he just in a transitional period of trying to build a championship winning side ?

If you think you can transform a team from perennial mediocrity into premiership winners in less than 18 months you are seriously deluded.

One question for the deadset Mancini outers:

What do you make of Mancini's own admittance that we need new attacking players next season, including possibly even wingers for Dzeko? 80% of the players we're being linked to at the moment are attacking players like Sanchez, Mata, Coentrão, and even Wilshere (not happening that one). Does it not suggest that Mancini will, with some tweaks, play a more attacking game like we did against Sunderland and several other teams?

And one other thing to consider - our central midfield is creatively bankrupt yeah, but Mancini had hoped for Boateng and Kolarov to be attacking full-backs, which would surely have compensated quite a lot for the lack of creativity in the middle. Unfortunately, and yes this is Mancini's fault for signing the wrong players for those positions but still the idea was there, both have been flops in their full-back positions.

I recall us beating Arsenal 3-0 in the CC and 4-2 in the league both accounts they looked awful also I remember United beating Arsenal 4-1 these are 3 games that stick in my mind simply because 2 of which happened last season and another I hear my red mates bang on about still today.

I'm sure Arsenal have had a season of not playing decent nor having commitment hence why else would they win fuck all for the past 6 years remember before Wenger took over Arsenal everyone knew who they were and they were winning cups and league titles already.

Who were we before Mancini took over? That club who survived the division 2 play off's, won a few division 1 titles and been bought out by billionaires.

We've progressed and are in a better position then last season true or false?

Good point and Fergie has never signed flops has he ? Some of those goalkeepers he signed were an absolute disaster, Bebe anyone ?

He is the one who took them from 2nd bottom to 2nd in his first season. And it wasn't a medicore side Mancini inherited, it was one which was easily capable of the top four and had just sacked a manager for not being there.

I doubt if anyone was seriously expecting Mancini to transform us from "perennial mediocrity" (5th.) into Premiership winners within 18 months.

But 5th. to 3rd. would have been nice.
