If the Madrid board made the decision to sack him, then that means, in their view, it was the correct decision. Most supporters wouldn't have enough knowldge of the circumstances to make a judgement, so you trust the board to do that.
Things change. As I have stated on here many times in the past, most managerial decisions are made on gut-feeling rather than in-depth analysis. The decison makers get a feel for things, and use the facts to back up their argument. Football managers do this all the time with regard to signing and selling players.
It wouldn't be the first time a manager won the league and was sacked.
