I decided not to post after monday - I was so angry that I decided to avoid all forms of football media - just forget aout football and in particular City. Of course my minds been uzzing with thoughts ever since....it's impossible to switch off from your team for 5 nminutes let alone 3 days...
There really is nothing else to say about Mancini. I have said it for months, he wasn't right last season, isn't right now. Never has been. He is as has been mentioned on this thread a sauve looking idiot who has ZERO understanding of the English Premier league and what it takes to mould a winning side. There is so much I dislike about him it's untrue. His ridiculously uninformative interviews, his sterile tactics, his cowardice approach to games, his astonishing ability to have a blank cheque book yet create a side with so much inbalance...it's almoast laughable. And there's more...his ability to make superb footballers look devoid of ideas, devoid of any technical ability, and his biggest failing, his spectacularly consistent abiloity to make repeated mistakes. It defies belief. When I saw the team sheet for Liverpool it broke any anticipation I had for that game, I knew what would happen YET Mancini sat there and didn't rectify it [sorry, yes he tried after conceding a mere 3 goals - could have been 5/6]....

Now there is NO way any City fan on here can wave their Mancini flag anymore...the excuses have run dry, the poerformances are getting worse, the desire in some of our players is laughable...as a football fan there can be no bigger slap in the face as a fan than seeing a player [in our case several] not even trying. Yaya, Barry, kolarov, Balloteli, Johnson are all a disgrace to MCFC and should be sold. Contrast to Lescottg who may not be the best player in the world but he tries, he tries to gee other players up, sadly those players are elsewhere in their heads...face it Mancini lovers, some of our players simply do not want to be here and they don't hide it.

I would dance with delight if Mancini was sacked NOW. Yes, before the semi as I believe with him in charge for saturday we have NO chance. Mancini has no idea how to beat the filth. Fergiescum proaly has a dozen ways of beating us. mancini won't have the bottle, the guts to send us out to win, we all know this.

So, what happens if mancini was to be sacked now? No idea, that's not for me to decide. Bring in ANYONE who can send our players out and tell them to go and play....it's not rocket science...
Mancini has proved me right on so many occasions it's now becoming familiarly boring....so much money - so much waste. No progression. What we have is a replica of last season, scrapping to get 4th which I elieve we will miss out on. Our players don't have the heart of Tottenham to really want 4th because they don't give a shit. From that statement I do not include: Richards, Zabs, Kompany, lescott, Silva, Dejong ans Milner. Strange really, most are not Mancini's mega signings...
Leaves a simple formula:
Massive money spent on so called elite players + a club without success for 30 years = unmotivated players who only came for money and don't want to be here.
The 'project' under this formula isn't working - it's making us look stupid.

And I bet there are still some on here who are refusing to believe it.

assuming you mean performances, you do realise we won 5-0 before Liverpool???

What I find so ironic is that Mancini is in the exact position Ferguson was in at United, fan's calling for his head, under extream pressure, looking like he's loosing all respect at the club that was untill he won the F.A cup (his first trophy at United) saving his job and then staying on till this day and I guess I don't have to tell anyone what happened inbetween.
Jesus - That's thne whole bloody point!!! YES we WON 5-0 and actually played attacking football!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Admittedly Sunderland were abject and it was easy for our demotivated players...BUT what did Mancini do the next game??? He f*****g changed it agaion back to the sterile sh*t that came before!!! and what happened???? we LOST 3-0!!!!!!!!!!!!.......
AMAZING - some STILL don't see it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD I DESPAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you hold the players responsible at all for Monday night. I'm fairly sure no manager in the world would send out players deliberately to play the way we played.

And for all the talk about the style of our football, we have scored 3 goals or more in nearly a third of our games this season. I can see plenty of valid criticisms of Mancini, but doesn't tend to be a lot of balance in those criticisms.

He dropped the defensive lynch-pin De Jong and played Tevez, and Dzeko and AJ. Do the players not take some responsibility?

If you play the best 11 every week you get injuries....see Tevez.

I am in COMPLETE agreement with everything you have wrote.
The guy is a clown, we have virtually no chance on Saturday & I believe Spurs will get 4th by beating us in that decider
Bobby's watershed moment was at 7pm on Monday I knew then we would not win the match. He disgracefully disrespected Liverpool and our fans.
On that decision alone he should have been sacked & flown back to Italy.
Even IF we do get 4th and by some miracle win the FA cup he should go. The guy's an idiot.

It's hard to believe that we have got this thread in the week building up to a Wembley semi-final. Anfield was a disappointment to say the least, but is every setback the manager's fault? And even the League leaders lose from time to time.

I rate Mancini highly. City are usually very well organised, and the defensive solidity has improved markedly since he was appointed.

Getting totally fed up with the attitude of some City fans online. Fortunately these do not reflect the views of City fans I see at the games or those fans I know at work who are going to Wembley (incidentally 6 City season-ticket holders on my floor all going, and not 1 Utd fan)

I agree mate,

I fully understand City fan's being upset, I was about to sell my wembley ticket at half time vs Liverpool as I was in that heat of the moment anger but half way through the game I calmed down and even had a laugh at Ray Wilkins during the game saying "I can understand Joe Hart being up for Player of the Year, but what about Van Der Saar"

It seems peoples anger and frustration last's alot longer then mine, I was probably more upset after the Villa game at Villa park because we dominated the game and I had never seen such a 1 sided defeat in my life.

People assume because we've lost 8 games we've been shit in them but really I'd say 5 times out of them 8 we were the better team.

People will always demand to sack the manager during a bad spell but come end of the season if we're lifting the F.A cup and getting ready to play Champs League next season at last 80% of the Mancini hates will start saying how wrong they were, the other 20 just hate Mancini because he doesn't go out to win 5 or 6 - 0 every week.

Thing you should learn about this part of the forum is Mancini is a clown who knows fuck all and Mourinho is god

Barry is slightly more attack minded than De Jong.
Milner is slightly more defensively minded than Silva.

So where did he revert to the defensive stuff?

In the style of play? We were so inaccurate it's impossible to tell what they had in mind.

Agree mate apart from 1 thing - he should be made to walk back to Italy!!

1. yes he dropped our best defensive midfielder Dejong which was a huge mistake. He replaced him with a slow, ponderous non-entity of a player in Barry. A very attacking team must have 1 out and out defensive player [dejong] to help defend when needed and to give theose attackers freedom to express with the knowledge we have a player who is sitting back in case a move brteaks down, it's insurance.
2. YES the players do take some responsibility as I have allused to. BUT ultimatley mancini takes the blame. He signs them, he picks them, he motivates [or doesn't] them...in a way it's a 2-way relationship between players and coaches/manager...yet if the manager can't motivate, can't let players play with freedom and enjoyment then players who have a high chance of becoming demotivated by being at a club that hasn't won a bean in 35 years will absolutely become demotivated.
