Don't know why I read this just before setting off.

Sure it's not true, but if it turns out I'm wrong about this I will really struggle to reconcile myself with such an idiotic decision.

Pellegrini is too old, hardly a secure future, Mancini is young and has already won a championship here (and possibly 2 cups). Winning the CL is difficult look at Real Madrid over 10 years since they won it. Mancini can grow into European football.

I hope Mancini stays at city, but we shouldn't take the FA Cup as a given and should the worst happen I'm sure peoples views on Pellegrini may suddenly change. lose to Wigan and give up the title without any serious challenge and poor champions league performance then puts a different spin on it. However, win the Cup and its 4 trophies in 3 years - depends which side of the fence you sit on.

Having finally read through this thread, I think one thing that everyone seems to agree on is the timing of this story. Its shit and it seems its designed to try and destablise us on today of all days.

On Mancini I would class myself as a fence sitter, I will always hold him in high regard for winning us our first silverware in three decades, and for taking the title from the red twats, and for some great signings and great football.
I feel he cant take us much further though, certain games and teams he seems to just have no answers to, I dont like the public falling out that seems to occur with him, and europe seems a real problem for him, not just with City, but at Inter he also struggled with this competition.

So I can see both sides of the coin in regards to the inners and outers, but some of the comments are well over the top. Our owners have done very little if anything wrong since they have come here. I believe they have earnt our trust and if this a club decision then we need to trust the powers that be and see if another big decsion of theirs is proved correct.
If its Mancini decison, then fair play, I'd thank him for all he's done and wish him all the best.

The timing is shit, everything else is just football.
Being serious for a moment, this is pretty much spot on for me, word for word.

Anyway, back to managers who look like lizards.

Actually, this photo reveals something far worse than the fact that the subject closely resembles a lizard - he looks exactly like Souness...
