There will always be conflict when the soldier who goes to the front did know that he was NOT given the weapons that they had promised. indeed, they had agreed to give him.

a good soldier is proud and ready to die cause enemy fire but maybe he can be a little pissed of if he see he risk to die under the friendly fire

mancini is only asking what was concordated.

But Sanchez wanted to go to Barca. Clichy has been brought in. Savic has been brought in. Aguero has been brought in. A back up keeper has been brought in. Mancini has been backed in his stance against Tevez/Adebayor/Bellamy and the club are trying to find suitable clubs for them, which isn't proving easy. Nasri is on the verge of joining and would already be a blue apart from some stalling for time by Wenger and Arsenal trying to take the piss on the fee. Rumours abound of another couple of quality additions before the window closes. Your hero needs to stfu and concentrate on what he can control, preparing the team for a very challenging season ahead.

incidentally the man you are calling "my hero" should be YOUR hero in the moment he fight to improve the team and the chances to win trophy of you're fancing.

unfortunally you and a few others seem more interested in hoping to see mancini fail more than see City win things

Not true. I have no strong feelings about Mancini either way, I've seen too many managers come and go over the years for that. At the end of the day, he's a professional football manager who wouldn't have pissed on City if we were on fire a few short years ago when we were shit and skint. He's fighting to improve the team because he knows he faces the chop if he doesn't deliver this season, and he knows a Premier League title will look very good on his cv. In other words, he doing it for himself, his own ego, and he's being very handsomely rewarded for it. If he fails to deliver, he'll be sacked. If he wins the League and does well in the Champions League, he'll earn the right to stay and maybe, just maybe, he'll go on to prove himself to be the top quality manager many believe him to be.

It's such a crying shame that the negativity and worry has crept in. We ended last season on a real buzz. The players were happy, the fans were happy, the manager was happy - everyone involved with City was happy. Happy and bouncing, with masses of energy. If we'd been able to start the new season without a summer break, we'd have already been streets ahead of the rest. We felt almost invincible, which is quite a new concept for us!

I worried for the result of the Charity Shield when I read Mancini's comments about us being five yards behind the rags, and being one or two signings away from winning the league. If the manager is bothered by something, it will affect the players, no matter what. You've only got to look at Arsenal playing well below par, when their manager is throwing his teddies out, left, right and centre.

I think Mancini can be a great manager for us, but I'm disappointed in his negative comments to the press, because of how it affects everyone else. He may have hoped for other outcomes in the transfer market, but if wishes were horses, beggars would ride. Rise above it. Get things back to a shrug of the shoulders, the odd witty comment, a check of the great quality we already have at City, and just get on with the season!

Excellent post.

If a manager shows he's concerned, it can have a destabilising effect on a club.

Look at Wenger at Arsenal now... and look how baconface constantly puts two fingers up to any setbacks.

Mancini has to give the impression that the CURRENT squad are capable of winning everything, rather than claiming that we're two or three players short.

This can affect morale. And the last thing we need is to give certain players at the club an excuse not to perform!

then , as a City fan , what is your advantage ? what is better for you ? to see mancini improve the team and win or the opposite ?

I want Mancini to succeed here, of course I do. However, in this instance I don't believe he was right to say what he said in the press conference in public. Those types of battles should be fought in private, and anyway I don't agree that he hasn't been supported in the transfer market.

Everyone needs to calm down. He wanted the players in early, which you can understand. But he probably needs to appreciate that the window complicates deals and encourages brinkmanship. It's not terribly healthy to whinge about it in public but he is effectively being told to win the title and progress into the later stages of the Chimps and in that context, you can understand that he wants a settled, integrated squad at the earliest opportunity. And he has a point. Has anyone noticed the summer long wank-fest about the wisdom and genius of the rasher-featured one for bringing his targets in early. The media morons can't wait to jump all over Robbie at every opportunity and we don't get a good start, it will be Robbie that takes the heat. Some of this is just all round negative vibes arising out of last Sunday's debacle. It reminds me of when we lost 3-0 to the Dippers just before beating the rags, winning the cup and beating off the whinging Gooners for third. One of the best things about Bobby is he's ruthless and he can't stand losing. This is to our ultimate advantage. So he has a bit of a whinge. You lot have been having a bit of whinge since the beginning of June. It's a long season. Losing a silly-arsed friendly to the twats shouldn't have produced the reaction it did. Hopefully, we can make a good start on Monday and all will be right in the world again.

Marwood is a tough cookie so don't underestimate him or his standing in our club. Mancini has split the fans, just like hughes just like Pearce, it's time city fans just sat back and enjoyed the ride, let our manager get on with it.

I underestimate Marwood's ability because he nearly fucked up the Dzeko deal (saved by Khaldoon), caused the original tensions with Carlitos and has no record of doing good things as a football professional. He should be a pundit on Channel 5.

Mancini simply hasn't seen the fans divide themselves in the same way that they did over Hughes. I'm not seeing Mancini Out threads or hearing negative comments at the match like I did in some of those strange days.

Absolutely this. Not a ball kicked other than pre-season friendlies and people are kicking off about the manager and his determination to produce a title winning team.
