Mancini Protest

Getting a bit fractious gentlemen !!

Can't agree with replacing Mancini unless we have Mourinho lined up which, although I'm not a close associate of our owners, I'm sure we don't. I have no gripe with Mancini just as I didn't with Hughes. That there are glaring deficiencies in the team we all accept and so does Mancini judging by his foiled targets in January. Although I can't see inside his mind, I assume he signed Viera as a stop-gap to fill the hole we're all complaining about. He has shored up a defence that was being torn apart at will by very poor teams such as Sunderland and Burnley. It is true that this has been at the expense of scoring goals but everyone knows that you build a team on sound defence.

With the squad available, I genuinely believe Mancini has overachieved simply to be three wins away from qualification and he deserves our patience for at least another season.
 
I wonder who the laughably egotistical ITK, the Sunday morning footballing geniuses and the barely literate enterprising business brains on here have heard will replace Mancini?


The lazy answer of Mourinho no doubt will leap up, mainly because it's the easiest to invent.

Why? Just because you bring in a manager who has shown they can win in europe doesn't mean they will. Chelsea brought Jose in to help them win the leauge and more importantly the champions leauge and he failed to do so so in that respect it didn't work out. The Champions leauge is an extremely tough competition and bringing in a manager who has won it once doesn't mean we'll win it. Ferguson who is the best manager in football has been manager of United in numerous champions leauge campaigns yet has just two wins for it. Wenger who has managed Arsenal for numerous seasons has also not won the champions leauge, it's just one of those things. We've got a manager who has only had 3 attempts at doing something in the champions leauge, if we don't give him a chance we'll never know. He's already shown at club level he's capable of winning trophys and it's silly to suggest that just because in 3 attempts with Inter it means he's not cut out for a job of a team in the champions leauge as you have been doing

We are NOT a waiting club,mancini has been brought in because they believe he is better than hughes & will get us in the champs league.
He has done NOTHING in Europe & if our owners stick to plan they will move him on & replace him with a proven winner in Europe.
We will have a far greater chance of winning in Europe if we bring in someone that has already done it,it's silly to suggest otherwise.

Nothing on this thread even touches some of the abuse that is given out on here at times.

No problem with rules fella, they just need to be applied fairly and to all members.

That's not an answer.

With the same players we beat (and well beat) Chelsea & Arsenal. Why are we suddenly half a team now?
