I have never been banned and I have always supported the Mods and the difficult job they do, so I'm hardly some recalcitrant fifth columnist looking for trouble.

Good threads, usually on the same subject, get locked by him because he thinks they have "run their course". .

From my experience it's rare that a moderator takes it upon himself to just lock a thread. There is usually a short discussion in the mod room first. If the other mods agree then it's locked. If they don't, then it stays open. More often than not the threads that get locked have long exhausted any reasonable debate and it's just the same posters going over the same ground until it descends into farce and the personal insults start flying.
Personally I think it's better to nip it in the bud rather then start dishing out bans and warnings when it gets too heated.
Either way, the mods are usually the ones who get the stick for it.

the posts are still here but you know it may just be best to let the lad do his job. if a thread is moved or locked or whatever it isn't set in stone, it just brings it to the attention of the other mods on line to offer their opinions, not one mod, mods plural. a decision is made as to what action to take and we move on.
we should just enjoy the football and the season ahead and cut out this petty fucking mod bashing at every opportunity.

as one of mancini's biggest supporters I no longer care what pictures, posters or whatever we have about him, its all about our manager now, our players now and more important our attempt to get our title back.
