"Mancini - Right or Wrong?"

Just read this don't know what you all think but fair and enlightening. <a class="postlink" href="http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2326322/Roberto-Mancini-revealed-The-Manchester-City-dressing-room-battles-sacking.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... cking.html</a>

Brunswick: The article is enlightening I agree but I really just can't see how it can fair. Some deeply personal criticisms that have nothing to do with football with the sole intent to sully and tarnish his name and reputation both professionaly and personally. Fair it is certainly not.

If the FA cup performance was a concious effort to remove Mancini, I can't help but feel the players have took the piss out of every City fan.

Alas you can only sully and tarnish someone who is sully-able and tarnishable otherwise the paper is in danger of paying out a lot of compensation.<br /><br />-- Sat May 18, 2013 12:47 pm --<br /><br />

I could not agree more, but I think it probably was

Enjoyed that Jimbo, thanks.

I'm not really a mancini 'inner' or 'outer'; I don't think it unreasonable that the club want to try something else but neither do i have a strong opinion on giving him another season with backing in the summer.

I think the quality of our football has markedly deteriorated this season, defending at times looking unstructured, attacking lacklustre and transition of gameplay ponderous...but who's to say a managerial change will change this when we still have a core team consisting of the same players. Dave has looked dismal, Yaya lazy, Vinny off the boil, Joe mistake prone, Tevez tame...I think you get the point. Hopefully a change in leadership is all that's required....

The upcoming season will be very interesting, who will we blame if the results don't come though, will it be the new manager, or perhaps the players this time...

Never believe that professional players irrespective of their views of the manager would deliberately play below their best in an effort to have the manager removed.

I am positive that even had we won the FA Cup RM would have been sacked.

It might have for obvious reasons given him an extra two games in charge which I believe irrespective of his standing in the club he more than deserved.

We won our first title under him for 44 years and an FA Cup and had the players been up for it another FA Cup in three years at the helm.

History will show it was right to let him go irrespective of whether we slip further behind in the pecking order in the premiership next season and have another poor Euro campaign and without pre empting who will be in charge next season both these two outcomes are more likely than not.

Allegedly, the interviews for Mancini's successor were taking plae before Xmas so the FA Cup Final was probably not decisive.

I wonder what he was promised when he signed the new contract,i suspect the players he was promised coupled with the erosion of his powers as a manager and the power struggle that seems to have developed was not part of the deal.

A sar better critique than Dismals

Good stuff

The news likely to come out over the next few days might give a clue why Banconface feels Manncini has bee treated so harshly.

I hate to agree with the piss can and I am worried tha Manure may reveal more damaging info about the search for Bobby's successor during the season.
