Let's wait and see.

Kolorov will certainly give us more penetration on the left. I don't think Boateng will, he looked pretty hopeless on the ball at the weekend.

I'd just like to see our attacking players earn their money. If we're really honest Sunday was appalling and we fluked a win.

You clearly know nothing about Jerome Boateng, so why come out with such a ridiculous statement?

I came out with the statement because he looked pretty hopeless on the ball

Official Cabal communique - Boateng "hopeless" - make a note

So you don't think he looked hopeless on the ball?

He gave it away every time he had it.
Hopefully it was because he's just come back from injury but didn't show much going forward either.

His comments don't account for the fact that Adam Johnson was left on the bench for 70 minutes when it was obvious to anyone in the stadium he could make the difference.

i think this has been covered, he needed bringing down a peg, he does look like an arrogant shit. it will be a shame if he spoils himself.

Boateng's a new player, coming back from injury, looking for match fitness and still clearly finding his feet.

Johnson's in peak fitness, scoring goals and on top of his game.

So completely different.

i agree i dont see boateng as a natural attacking fullback.. looks like a centre half to me..
Boateng is equally adept at full back and centre half. He's not a Kolarov style ultra fast full back, but he's intelligent and gets forward well and his great quality is his ability to cross a ball onto the head of a forward with ease. \more of a stealth attacking full back, whereas \kolarov is anout an out speed merchant, all pace and power, both will provide an outlet, BUT I still see problems if only Tevez is in the box, this is a problem mancini has yet to address. It's all well and good having 2 great full backs providing width and crosses, but if we don't have an out and out striker on the end of the crosses what's the point?

-- Thu Oct 07, 2010 10:38 am --

His arrogance is his weapon, doesn't mean he's above himself, it's just his character, his make up. And what's he done wrong exacltly? Went to an auction and bought Jordan? so what?! Wasn't another player with him? He hasn't been lambasted for it that I can recall. He's not exactly falling out of night clubs. If mancini is being hardline over this then Balotelli will never play ffs!! He's a raving lunatic compared to Johnson!

Arrogant?

There's nothing remotely arrogant about the lad.

Honestly, can some of you not think for yourselves?

it was his first game after coming back from an injury. give the lad a little time to settle in to a new team a new league and to get match fit.
oh and did you miss those 3 or 4 passes with his left foot thar dropped over the defenders heads for our forwards to run onto. correction deep lying forward

I'm sure he'll improve and have great confidence in him.

But he looked pretty hopeless on the ball on Saturday.

i remember petrov and geovanni in there first game. i mistakenly said geovanni looked like a fantastic buy, comfy on the ball with silken skills, and petrov had one bad foot and another one he just stood on.

although petrov did have his faults, he was much more effective for us than geovanni.

thats probably the reason i dont manage a football team.

whats yours :)

IMO, we have seen a nice example of the manager using what is available to him to get us 2nd in the table. I couldnt give a fuck who should have been brought on when, thats all subjective.

If the tactics change, great, as long as the wins keep coming (and they will) thats all I'm arsed about.

Lol at the 'not think for yourselves' comment

The warning signs that Johnno was getting a little too big for his boots were there before Mancini spoke a word on the matter. You haven't been watching closely enough
