Strange he never won manager of the season.......
It is often portrayed that Mancini failed miserably in the CL at Inter, but Mancini was let down by his club big time with indiscipline from players and fans and was unlucky to be knocked out twice on away goals.C_T_I_D said:carlos92 said:I think the press will take notice if he comes close to winning the Champions League. In my opinion this is Mancini weak spot at the moment.
Unfortunately his record at Inter Milan within this competition was not great either but that just means that there is room for improvement and a new goal to set himself which I'm sure Roberto will strive to achieve.
From FA Cup winners to Premier League Champions is one leap but to then be crowned Champions of Europe would be a mammoth achievement of insommountable recognition. Although the competition has been devalued somewhat given Chelsea's eventual lifting of ol' big ears, it is still the pinnacle of club football.

Next time we lose?
Nah, we'll do it now. The guy is vastly overrated. But hey, he has nice hair, and apparently is a dab hand at 'mind games'. Someone give him a 20 year contract, and get that petition started to get City renamed Roberto Mancini Football Club.

BS's first choice is Jurgen Klopp, not Mou, to be fair.TheMightyQuinn said:You don't want City to win stuff, you just want us to have a manager you have a crush on, it's 'Mou' or nothing in your blinkered world and that's pretty sad.
I'm tempted to call you a sad **** but as it's open knowledge that you 'report' every post that disagrees with you, I won't bother.
Also the fact you mention Mancini's hair in every post you make leads me to believe you're bald, balding or just have shit hair.
Cue the 'I was happier than anyone when we won the league but Mancini is terrible, you'll see' type response.
You're a laughing stock, mate. It's not even fun now pointing out what a dick you are, it's just tedious.
Now you're read this far, I believe this is where you click 'report' like the snide, spineless little wretch you are.
Peace and Love, of that I'm 100% sure.

You sound like a rag now, it's all about money and nothing to do with tactics, rotation policy and all the rest.
It's a toss up between thick as pig shit and contrary little cretin. I'm leaning towards the former.

In 2004-05, his first season in charge, Inter got to the quarter-finals. They lost 2-0 in the away leg against AC, but because of that Dida flare incident, UEFA disqualified Inter and AC went through to the semi-final.
In 2005-06, Inter made the quarter-finals again but lost to Villarreal 2-2 on away goals.
In 2006-07, Inter drew 2-2 with Valencia, but were again knocked at on away goals. Then came that famous brawl, and subsequently Inter had defenders suspended for the following season.
And in 2007-08 Inter lost to Liverpool who scored two goals in the 85th and 90th minute to change the tie.
