Meanwhile, Mancini insisted there were no ongoing problems with Craig Bellamy, despite reports earlier this week of a rift between the fiery Wales striker and the Italian.

“I continue to read that I have a problem with Craig Bellamy,” he said.

“This is false. I do not have any problems with him. If I did, he wouldn’t play.

“I respect him. He works very well and always gives 100%.”

Highlighted words suggest this is not a manager who takes any bullshit.

It also suggests that there is no problem, although this will probably be written off as media spin by some.

They don't have to like each other. Professional respect will do for me.

Jesus, Robbie. Do you never learn?

"I do not have any problems with him"

Bellers would cause trouble in an empty house. But he's certainly up to his usual tricks at the moment.

That didn't take you long Dave. I wasn't suggesting that Bellamy likes Mancini. In fact I wonder how many of the players Bellamy likes. Probably not many given what he has said about professional footballers.

What I was suggesting was that the relationship between them is not at the stage where Mancini has to consider resigning!

Which is all that matters as he is the boss. Do you really think most managers give a toss if one or two players don't like their methods? It's not a popularity contest.

Sooner or later Bellers is going to have to toe the line, and at his age and physical condition (dodgy knees) if he doesn't do it now he'll end up next season playing with Sunderland or some other mid-table side. Then he'll be watching us from the outside going on to bigger and better things and probably wishing he could have stayed and been a part of it all.

Sadly, some people just never learn.

I reckon the only person Bellamy likes is Tevez. I would not be surprised if they have a mancrush on each other.

Wish we had a game on every day of the year so we had something reasonable to spend our time on this site on.

Then again.........................

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has hinted that he will attempt to sign Liverpool striker Fernando Torres , but admits that it won't be easy to capture his signature.

Torres has been linked with a move to cash-rich Manchester City for some time, but Mancini's comments are the first real indication that a bid might be launched.

London's Evening Standard quotes Mancini saying, "Fernando Torres is a fantastic striker,

"We must get the rest of the matches out of the way first, then we will decide about other players."

Torres has openly expressed his frustration this season over lack of progress both on and off the pitch at Liverpool. With the club up for sale, the future at Anfield appears far from clear.

However, as Mancini admitted, much will depend on who qualifies for next season's Champions League. Liverpool maintain only an outside chance of qualification with Manchester City and Tottenham the favourites to claim fourth spot. The Italian believes that City's ability to attract top players such as Torres to Eastlands will hinge on Champions League qualification.

Mancini commented, "All the top players want to play in the Champions League,

"Next year we want to be a team who wins the Premier League. To do that we need top players."

Its a bloody disgrace some of the shit the players are instigating behind the scenes.

Zin, who else is causing trouble apart from Bellers ?

To be quite honest, I don't know any of what's going on behind the scenes. I am just passing comment based on what others have said on here...but I do think that whatever problems certain players have, they should finish the season before airing them...

Anyway, Roberto had his fair share of problem players at Inter as well...he'll be fine come what may.
