Mancini Thread (no City stuff)

I think he'd do a decent job at Spurs.

I'd be gutted to see him at Spurs. I'm glad we got rid when we did, but I still wouldn't want to see him manage another team in the Prem.

I think we will end up at spurs, there's no better a manager on the market right now.

He's not really on the market, and there are managers just as good with even bigger potential who could be tempted away. Then again if you're talking about managers that would consider Spurs then you're probably right.

Not with Prem experience there isn't

Not only experience but also actually winning it!
He would do well at Spurs. He is exactly what they need
right now.

Re: Mancini Thread

Final round up for the season and you already know the outcome but....

Two goals in the second half from Yilmaz and Bulut gave Bob's boys a 2-1 win and second spot in the Turkish Super Lig. Besiktas could only manage a draw against Genclerbirligi and had Ozyakup given a straight red to boot, however that was in 93rd minute so had no material affect on the outcome of their game.

17/05….Galatasaray (2)...........2-1……..Kayseri Erciyesspor (14)
17/05….Besiktas (3).................1-1........Genclerbirligi (8)

Final Table:

(C)…Fenerbahce…..34…..23…..5…..6…..74…..+41
(2)…Galatasaray…..34…..18…11…..5…..65…..+27
(3)…Besiktas………..34…..17…11…..6…..62…..+20

So Galatasaray march into the Champs League with a 2nd place finish and pair that with a Turkish Cup victory and we can see Bob once again has kept up his remarkable record in the hunt for trophies with all the clubs he has been at.

I know it is silly, but I would be genuinely gutted to see him back at a Premier League club, although I feel he deserves the opportunity again to show what he can do. Personally, I'd like to see him take charge of Italy, but I'm not sure he'd be given that opportunity.

We'll see soon enough where he ends up and I will continue to look at how he is doing as for me, he will always be the fella that took "that" banner down. Grateful for what he did, but also glad we have Pellegrini before anyone starts :))

Forza Mancini

Fuerza Manuel

His personality doesn't really fit with anyone in the league right now, you could make an argument that he'd fit in at Spurs, but how long would it take him to push Levy too far? Levy is not known for his patience. Mancini is a great "Back against the wall" manager, he makes players fight for him. He leads by confrontation, and that works great for a while but eventually it will make people turn against you.

Thing with the Spurs job is that there's a squad there that Mancini can get more out of than the Sherwood has. Much depends upon whether Levy believes there's a Spurs "way" of playing football. If he does then I don't see Mancini getting a look in, but if all he cares about is finishing in the top 4 then Roberto's definitely the man.

Would be a very interesting dynamic between a character like Levy and one like Mancini. Would be like Bonfire Night every night at the Lane.
