Mancini Thread (no City stuff)

Did a good job but he was on a hiding to nothing in replacing Fatih Terim. Lazio might not be a bad choice for his next club.

Lazio being mentioned as a possible destination. Would be good to see him in Serie A and see how he gets on there. Win the domestic cups and then throw his name in the ring for one of the top European jobs again. I doubt we will see him back in England for a long time, if ever. With his ego he will be keen for another stint at Inter and will expect Real or Barca to come knocking no doubt. Would work well at a club who were willing to buy into his mentality - PSG are about the only club willing to spend spend spend, perhaps Monaco. Other clubs have to function within their means and Mancini might have to alter his style.

He is young and will mature as a manager, when he does he will be much better for it.

Yep, just got the news. Seems he resigned, saving Galatasaray a few millions.
My guess is Mancini has been offered a job in Italy. That's where he should go anyway imo.
Gala-fans' reaction so far (the news is quite fresh) is they can't be too arsed Mancini left. They thank him for winning the cup, but the all round opinion is his style of football was boring and chaotic.

Mancini made his name as a manager and was offered the job at Inter because of what he did at Fiorentina and Lazio when both clubs were financially in the shit. He will have no problem going to a club with a small budget. The only problem is lack of budget tends to parallel with lack of ambition so it's unlikely he'll go to a smaller side.

I don't think his ego is a problem either, he was happy to take the City job when we weren't in the Champions League. He likes projects like Southampton, I think they are a possible destination. Although Lazio is most likely I'd say.

I hope he gets a job in the premier league as he adds a bit of caricature to the game he can be stubborn a abrasive and has the ability to get under peoples skins

Would be good to see him go head to head with Brenda and Maureen
