Mancini you are gutless

We're a point up on both the derbys last year. Could we have won the game if we'd gone for it all guns blazin? probably, posisbly. That said, i was arguing with a very angry fella stood behind me yesterday at the match, who was of the opinion that utd are "the worst team he's ever seen, city are making the look good" I did try pointing out that the rags are an established team who, for the most of the players, have been together for many seasons, hence the orgnisation and understanding of each other. I had to give up when the guy started actualy foaming at the mouth.

My point is; even though city man for man many be the best, at least top three, in the league the fact is its a new team. It a frustrating thing to come to tearms with but its going to take a season to become the world beating force we all crave. I honestly believe that Bobby Mac is playing this defenive tactic simply to allow the team to gain points, nick wins where posible, and grow in confidence, with each other and as a team.

I also think once he feels that his players have a better understanding of each other he'll cut the apron strings and will see what this city side is fully capable of. as always though there is people callin for the managers head, give the man time, and whats the worst thing that happens?? We win fook all again, they aint won anything im my life time another season wont kill us. Keep the faith city.

Could of swore I heard the whole of the away end chanting his name before we scored last week. You were asked what you would change and could only come up with some shite about yaya. Take some advice pal, give up now and retain a bit of dignity.

I was there and yes we did sing his name. I back him at games and against other teams fans I stick up for him. But on an internet forum, im slagging him off, because he's far too defensive.

It seems to me against WBA we played open, attractive attacking football. Last night the opposition was much better (they haven't lost for 20 odd games) and we did what was necessary and we got a better result than we did last year. Horses for courses stuff, simple as that. It was probably more important that we didn't lose rather than having to go for a win. A pragmatic approach which will stand us in good stead in the long run.

Weapon X is back (aka Kolarov). We've been waiting for this one player ALL season. Watch us rip teams apart now that we have this final missing jigsaw piece. We will scare the shit out of everyone... coz he can take a corner.

great post mate.

i agree, he did great an inter. I just dont think he understands the prem, nearly 1 year in and he still thinks he can play this way.

he's making the same mistakes, week in week out and not learning. some guy made a thread the other week saying that we shouldnt judge him until he has his 1st 11 out. hang on a second, he hasnt took over blackpool or someone, he has took over a quality squad.

i dont understand his subs. what was there to gain from putting kolorov on last night? Only to give him minutes to get up to prem speed. Fine, but not in the last 15 mins of a manchester derby where they have a habit of scoring late on against us.

yaya, despite his fine display at the weekend clearly isnt working playing up there.

he is alienating AJ and Ade bigtime and doesnt get on with Tevez. Tevez and AJ are BIG BIG players for us, and ade, well we know what he CAN do.

What on earth are you on about - what was wrong with bringiong Korolov on?
Yaya had a better game than you suggest - good runs but nitid marked up extremely well to deny him the outlets.
And now you go on about the non match topics - ie Johnson and Ade
Nitid were playing very well last night and when AJ came on and we lost the defensive aspect of Milner we looked more vulnerable.
Same mistakes week in week out??
4th in the league - beaten Liverpool and Chelsea - drawn with Sprus and Nitid (which we lost last year) - smell the roses a bit more - nothing is perfect but is getting and looking better. Give some credit.

kolorov gave the ball away several times in dangerous area's, he isnt used to the intensity of the prem and bringing him on nearly cost us when he casualy lost possession on the outsdie of the box to fletcher who had a clear shot at goal but decided to pass.

yes we are 4th, but we are the laughing stock of the premiership, we are getting laughed at for this boring mundane football we play.

Qualifying for Champions League football is dictating how Mancini is setting up his sides against the top teams.

I think we are all underestimating how important this is to the clubs immediate future-we are establishing ourselves as a top four side, well infront of Spurs and the Scousers at present.

Im afraid we are just going to have to get used to the way Mancini sets his sides out this season-painful to watch but not as painful for the club if we dont get CL football.

Cut the guy some slack FFS

-- Thu Nov 11, 2010 12:12 pm --

Dont be a tosser all your life-have a day off.

You are the laughing stock of this board - you are just resorting to lies and exagerations to back up your anti Mancini arguement.
next time you are there - show your balls and colours and sing Mancini Out - don't just be brave on the Internet if you really don't support him. But don't come on here and confuse what actually happened with your pre-conceived beliefs.

Not a great spectacle last night, but to rip into the manager like this is knee jerk bollocks. Real fans were rightly singing his name on Sunday, FFS let’s see how many points we have after Xmas and in May before shooting him down. I would love to watch City win 5-1 every game, but I would prefer to win something and qualify for the Chumps league. We could have played with Ade last night up front, but what would everyone be saying today if Berbaflop had scored and won for them? Lets get behind the manager and the team and stop moaning.

I think it applies to any player that we haven't seen much of who will revolutionise the team and get us playing 'how Inter played'.

I like Mancini but sometimes he is too defensive, fair enough the rags are a good side but they had a weakened squad and we failed to commit players forward when we had the chance. If we had taken the same approach as we did against Chelsea it would have been better e.g. pushing players harder on the ball when in midfield and not giving them any time on the ball, we also need to knock the ball around a lot quicker than we are at the moment; i'm not sure why we persist on passing the ball around the back or getting forward and then deciding to turn around and give it back to the defence continuously.

so united have a weakened squad?compared to who, blackpool ,wba, wolves, blackburn, who are they weaker than.I know it was a shit game but get things into prospective, the rags have had years of winning, players go there and fit into there system, liverpool before them the same, city dont have one , yeah we have good players, but real madrid are the same, great players lots of mangers and they dont win what they should ,we have had that many managers the system changes almost every year,so give him time hopefully it will work out

Just because we hate United and they have lost some decent players does not suddenly make them a bad team "there for the taking" as some on here think.

Who has beaten this "there for the taking" side this season in any competition? Funny that.

Maybe they are still a very very good football team and Mancini did what had to be done. Old Baconface was not happy at creating zero chances against us and I think we actually out thought them. We had the best two chances to win (Zab and Tevez)

Where there might be cause for concern is if we play the same tactics against Birmingham.

Balo back in two games will make a difference to our structure and shape and we will buy another striker in January I think. Until then all going OK.

Keep calm and carry on.

excuse me but I do show my balls, I, like many others slag him off to fook in the pubs and on the coaches. but he is my manager at the game for 90 mins. So if you were in my shoes not liking a manager, you would call for the managers head at an away match would you? shows what a shit fan you really are, glad you dont follow us home and away.

Showing them to the dog doesnt count.

The fact your alone in your view in this thread MUST make you think "hang on, maybe I am talking absolute bollocks here, do I need to have a word with myself?".

"doesnt learn from his mistakes".

Last year we got nothing from Spurs home and away, nothing from United home and away and a point from Liverpool.

This year we have taken a point from Spurs (depriving them of two), a point from United (depriving them of two) and three from Liverpool (depriving them of one).

In short, your point is null and void.

What I would like say is it seems that anyone who has got a opinion about Mancini and his" boring slow devoid of any ideas apparantly good enough to get us 4th FOOTBALL" gets slated to fuck by people on here who seem to think they have some god given right to think that what they say is right and that everyone else is just a dick head.Because the majority of people who watch Italian football say it is BORING and shite and that will include you who are backing Mancini now and this is what City are becoming the most BORING team in the premier and it will end in tears for Mancini ,Slag me all you want but come back here in a 6 months to a year and I will say I told you so.

not at all, as ive already said in this thread, bluemoon isn't a reflection of the true city fans view on mancini.

home and away we argue with eachother over mancini's merits, a good healthy debate. alot of fans are unsure, but the vast majority of fans on here like mancini, probably because they dont pay their hard earned money to follow their club home and away and watch mancini football. they can just switch over channel, or take the internet stream off. the real fans, the fans who go home and away, are not sure about this guy.

Or maybe he isn't? Maybe a lot of people who go to the game don't actually post on here? Maybe we sang Mancini's name at WBA because that is what we do as fans. For the greater good I'll happily back our manager, but that don't mean I agree with everything he does.
