Not only did Hughes take us nowhere at all, but his ridiculous buys have had a lasting and damaging effect as we strive to comply with Twatini's big club charter.

On the subject of Mancini, he may indeed finish the season with a 'respectable' 83 points, but that would entail us having to win 8 of our remaining 9 games, including at least 2 out of the rags, Spuds and Swansea away. A more likely total would probably be around the 77 mark, a full dozen down on last season, having spent £60 odd million adding to last year's title winning squad. Sacking him might be a gamble, if Mourinho or Klopp is not available, but I genuinely don't think Laudrup, Martinez or even Rodgers would have fared any worse with the players at our disposal, let alone Pellegrini, Ancelotti, De Boer or Hiddink. That enough names for you?
Martinez and Rodgers, am I supposed to be impressed by your list?

I don't give a flying fish whether you're impressed with it or not. You were droning on, not for the first time, about there being no-one better than Mancini available, and I simply named a handful of managers who would not, in my opinion, have fared any worse than Mancini this season, had they had Hart, Zab, Kompers, Clichy, Ya Ya, Nasri, Silva, Aguero and Tevez at their disposal. You may disagree, just as I disagree with your assertion that Klopp has won bugger all (apart from the league and cup double of course, oh and all on a shoestring, whilst having his best players taken off him each season) and is therefore not all that. Based on his team's total domination of us both home and away this year, I'd rate him as a significant upgrade on Mancini

I am not impressed either.

You actually think that Manchester City FC would be better served with Managers of the standard of Rodgers and Martinez ???

As for Gus Hiddink - a failure at Fenerbace, a failure at Real Betis, a failure at Valencia and "done" for Tax Fraud to boot - words really do fail me

As I posted earlier in the thread;

When Billy mentions Kloop I will listen
When Didsbury mentions Jose I will listen
When Prestwich mentions Ancellotti I will listen

Even then I will argue for Mancini in that he wasn't given the funds he needed in the Summer, United have been brilliant, The European Draw was cruel and especially the real Trump Cards - in a short space of time he has been very successful, he has "Winner" written all over him and this Club needs stability.

If we disregard the pettiness of the name calling that has gone on in this emotive thread and it went to a vote on a silliest post then you have got mine.

Bring Hughes back and fuck Mancini off
I think if that was the choice facing us, fuck it, let Brendon laughing stock Rodgers have a crack.

-- Fri Mar 29, 2013 8:50 pm --

Come on guys, we really need to pick up the pace if we're going to get to 500 pages before midnight.

I reckon we need Billy and DD to land before ten if we're definitely going to make it.
I think you should spend the next five pages posting responses that paraphrase Oscar Wilde's best-known witticisms.

I have nothing to declare, except Big Sam's genius.
