What is wrong with people? Has Bobby had success in his short time with City - yes. Why would we want to risk that on a gamble with another coach at this stage !!?? Yes he could make it 4 trophies in 4 seasons if we win the FA Cup this season. If not its not the end of the world. We have come a lomg way in a short time. We defend ourselves and say we haven't bought the title then moan on here when we spend £££'s and don't win it !!!??

This is football FFS - thats what happens lets enjoy the success back Bobby and urge him to strengthen the squad this closed season.

Watching the Rags I am amazed they are so far ahead - they are nothing to be scared of - basically RVP got them off to a flyer and we have been goal shy this season and that has been it.

We need strength next season and to fire on all fronts BUT have to remember from the outset we are unlikely to win the Prem, Champs Lge, FA Cup and the Capital One Coca Milka Cup so lets just buckle in and anjoy the ride 0 we are City and so it HAS to be this way !!!!!!!!!!!!

Bobby now has a great chance to make it 4 trophies in 4 seasons.

1 PL Title, 2 FA Cups, 1 Charity Shield.

With the right signings this Summer there's no reason why City can't win another Charity Shield and then wrestle the PL Title back off the Rags next season.

Agree, we do have a great chance & you make a good point, but ffs I wish people would stop going on about the bloody community shield as if it counts for anything. It is a pre-season friendly.

It's a pre-season friendly if you lose.

It's an important bit of silverware if you win.

We won so at the moment it's important.

Please don't underestimate Chelsea, it's the FA Cup afterall, they've had a lot of good fortune and luck down the years in this competition.

I think the question is how important do our owners think the FA cup and Community shield are?

Mancini's CV is the most important factor.

The club will have decided regardless i would think.

I can appreciate that you said akin and not exactly the same. Which is true given Mancini has not invaded Poland.

But give it time my friend. Give it time.

*Meanwhile in a secret lair in a hollowed out volcano a floppy haired Italian clicks off this thread and smiles knowingly. The white cat in his lap purrs softly*

Your last comment about Bloefeld is funnier than you could know.

If one wanted to be controversial etc, one could expand on your first analogy in ways best avoided; even if one was trying to provoke serious intellectual debate. However, the territory is clearly too dangerous.

I was asking a serious question but I apologise to anyone who was offended or thought it was flippant, which it may have appeared to be even though I tried to word it carefully.

This thread is getting unbelievable and certain people getting quite precious. Mancini made a statement by bringing VK off and continued the statement by not giving him the high-five. VK could've stayed on, he'd completed the 90 for Belgium, but Mancini wanted to make a statement to the player. Now, if you think that Mancini should be giving the players the power to do as they please then that's up to you but in my book, there's can only be one boss and that is the manager. He's had to deal with a lot to get this team together, why should he let it go now, especially as one of the team went against an agreement made?

And as for the 'I could've punched him' statement, come on, he was laughing when he said it and was clearly having a joke.

Poor Vinny eh, goes against the club but we should all bow to him because he is the captain. He's a big boy and if he doesn't want to play by the clubs rules then he should be picked up for it. I wonder if people would think the same if it was someone like Carlos Tevez?

NB. Just watching the Chelsea v Rags game and noticed none of Rasher Chops subs got a high-five from him, not even a look to say well done.

.

Which given how impressive it is surely bodes well for him being here next season - even his biggest critic must concede that...that is of course if his CV does play such a large roll

His future is a more complicated issue than many make out, we will find out soon enough though
