Zin,i think, and hope,TFB was referring to Tolm's credibility on the board rather than a direct personal threat.

Just poor wording IMO.

If a decision has been made, either way,i'm happy.

The earlier we can begin our assault on next season the better.

I thought it was obvious. There will be a large turnover of players in the summer. At least 4 out and around 6 in and Only those who give it all for the cause will still be here at the end of July.

So you would be happy if Vince was one of the players to go?

This entire thread takes me back to one of Brian Clough's comments. He said that if any player happened to disagree with him, he would have that player in his office for a chat, and after 20 minutes, they would come to an agreement that the manager was right all along.

Someone mentioned earlier that every great Manager must be part megalomaniac. Brian Clough rewrote the sporting book about how to deal with the egos of players and generally how to play Napoleon Bonaparte and lead his troops to (football) war. One of his quotes seems apt in this ongoing keyboard war about Mancini:

'Players lose you games, not tactics. There is so much crap talked about tactics by people who barely know how to win at dominoes'.

Here endeth the lesson.

I think its the third straight year that tolmie has posted videos suggesting that Mancini will be gone

God loves a trier and I suppose he will be correct eventually.

I don't believe in God, bud.

I do believe the guy who delivers City's daily pinta, though ;)

I mean, who wouldn't?

He doesn't care whether you believe in him or not.

Semi or full cream ?

He wasn't actually very good without Peter Taylor.

For some peculiar reason, when I check back to view the notorious post from Tolmie that everybody is talking about, all I see on my screen is a blank box. Has it been censored? If not, would somebody kindly post a copy to me.

Whatever's best for the club is what I want even if that doesn't include Mancini. I like Mancini a lot so want him to stay but only if its right for city !

I do agree with that quote, not specifically in relation to this board, but more generally.

Football is a simple game and sometimes people really do try and over-analyse it tactically.

"Oooh they've switched from a 4321; to a 4231, with one of the three playing a little deeper." *strokes chin and nods knowingly*

I liked a quote I heard a while back which sums the game of football up most pithily: "It is a game where if you've got the ball you try and keep hold of it; and if you've not got the ball you try and get it off the other team".

Here endeth another lesson.
