I thought it was obvious. There will be a large turnover of players in the summer. At least 4 out and around 6 in and Only those who give it all for the cause will still be here at the end of July.

This entire thread takes me back to one of Brian Clough's comments. He said that if any player happened to disagree with him, he would have that player in his office for a chat, and after 20 minutes, they would come to an agreement that the manager was right all along.

Someone mentioned earlier that every great Manager must be part megalomaniac. Brian Clough rewrote the sporting book about how to deal with the egos of players and generally how to play Napoleon Bonaparte and lead his troops to (football) war. One of his quotes seems apt in this ongoing keyboard war about Mancini:

'Players lose you games, not tactics. There is so much crap talked about tactics by people who barely know how to win at dominoes'.

I do agree with that quote, not specifically in relation to this board, but more generally.

Football is a simple game and sometimes people really do try and over-analyse it tactically.

For his sake I mean in regard to his ITK status. He is going out on a limb here and stating without any doubt that the powers that be are moving Mancini on and that there's a new guy already lined up.

Just curious, were you insulted and ashamed when Tolmie posted that Mark Hughes would be sacked the following day after the game, and it came to pass ?
