I was out for a nice meal over Easter and after a perusal of the menu I decided on -

Grand Reserve Tees-Valley Beef Fillet, Triple Cooked Duck Fat Chips, Beef Bourguignon Salad, Red Wine Jus. It was pricey at £25

Sorry sir we have none available.

So I went back and picked -

Roast Rump of Faceby Lamb, Confit Shoulder & Seared Liver, Spring Pea & Mint Puree, Young Carrots & Rosemary Jus. Not as expensive but still £16

We sold the last just now.

Third time - Fillet of Northern Sea Trout, Jersey Royal, Chorizo & Purple Sprouting Broccoli Fricassee, New Seasons English Asparagus, Warm Caper & Tarragon Dressing at £16

It ended up being a very nice piece of fish but I was rather disappointed in the fact that its not what I wanted.

I have no idea what point you are trying to make, but I am now very, very hungry.

I recommend it if ever you are nearby

They have some very nice guest beers on as well.

I wouldn't go back there mate, they've ripped you off, the fish you had is only £14.95 on the menu and they charged you £16, cheeky fuckers!

True enough...although the way some people jumped over BlueAnorak in panic at the prospect of Mancini not getting the chop did make me chuckle.

Mind you there's a lot in this thread to make me chuckle...

I think it comes down to how we finish the season and what Mancini's attitude is like in this final run of games. I think he's in danger of losing his job but i dont think he's out just yet.. All comes back to the fact for me though that he wasn't appointed by the Spaniards

Yes but the Spaniards will make the decision on Mancini's long term future. It's denial on a pretty grand scale to try and pretend that Mansour's hired these two guys but will decide on Mancini himself. Much like the nonsense about Mario being Mansour's favourite player and therefore the decision to sell him being his and his alone. But hey, whatever helps you feel better about the situation. As Blusterin' Bob (the poster not the manager) would say, it is what it is.

Do you believe Soriano had any input in Mancini's new deal last Summer? I know it was signed before he arrived but surely he would've been briefed on it?
