I do think Kompany missed a trick yesterday to put the recent talk of unease between him and the manager to bed in his expansive interview.

They were inevitable questions to be put to him, considering the reports of the last few days.

The interviewers may well have been briefed beforehand, but if there is no issue, there was no need to keep it off limits.

If there's no issue there's no need to go out of your way to deny there's an issue.

And you can be sure if he did confirm there was no issue this forum would have been full of people saying "well he would say that".

Not the spanish boys...

That's completely wrong.

Just as Yaya being sanctioned a new contract came down to Begiristain and Soriano, not Abu Dhabi.

Based on their assessments.

-- Fri Apr 05, 2013 10:06 am --

I don't see it like that. This thread jumped numerous pages the other day based on a supposed Belgian article that our skipper was at odds with the manager.

Vinny can put all that shit to sleep.

C'mon mate. The supposed discourse has been played out in the national media at the beginning of the week.

Would have been the first question any journo would have been at liberty to ask.

I'm not disagreeing with you.

Just pointing out that you have these grenade lobbing moments, which I enjoy.
