Tbh I think it's sad that they jump on these articles as some kind of vindication, their argument has gone from his footballing achievement to his supposed man management abilities.

I will remind them of fergies falling out with Beckham, his ruthless dumping of Jaap stam and the way he got rid of Keane towards the twilight of his career.

I think most are questioning the validity of the article in fairness Dave. No direct quotes from Vinnie just a general outline of a story that may or may not be true.

Hmmm, I think the difference being that Fergie had a CL win, about 5 titles and various cup wins in the bag at the point he dumped those guys you mention....probably gave him a position of some strength to deal with those players? Had a chat with a journalist mate today. I commented that Mancini appears to no longer give a fuck about anything but the here and now. Make of that what you will - I've certainly drawn my own conclusion. What's ironic is that we both agreed that vinny could finish Mancini off with an exposé, but my friend reminded me that vinny will have the right ' ears' regardless.

I'd say this little piece is just a little shot back from an angry vinny.
