Mancini's pre season whinging was pathetic & calculated to put the blame elsewhere in the event he struggled.

I prefer us to keep him on, but he is not perfect by any stretch of the imagination & only an idiot would think his whinging was in any way a good thing for the club.

It was, & is, embarrassing. He has better resources to work with than 99% of managers.

good post, Mancini at times is like a child in a sweet shop, regardless of last summer we still spent 50 Million, the same as United, he hasnt helped us this season with his change of tactics, failings in europe.

We spent nett £14m this season, they spent nett £36m plus whatever they paid for Zaha.

Not that it particularly matters but we were about the 10th biggest nett spend this season in England.

I feel the same way and I can´t see how his comments are going to help the players HE signed by saying that they diden´t improve the team, he should man up and take some resonsibility.

Is he criticising the players he signed or commenting on the ones we didn't manage to sign?

He picks Garcia and Nastasic over other players - it therefore goes without saying that these players are highly regarded by mancini

Balotelli wasn't replaced

They've outspent us over the past two years. So have Chelsea and I think Liverpool. Can't recall Mancini complaining too much before then.

FWIW I think overall he has been very lucky with the investment in the club. I also think we could have spent the same amount of money this summer and Mancini wouldn't have been as unhappy. More that he was annoyed by the deals that were eventually done.

Do you think his complaints about the last summer window are justified in any way? Similar sentiments have been expressed by many on here.

Well, his choices weren´t realistic. De Rossi Romanista through and through and mind you diden´t want to come us.

Martinez 40mill........ Garcia was probably his third choice, Rodwell (Homegrown) and according to RM himself he has been interested in him for some time. Hazard 35-38 Mill and it´s seems that we diden´t want to pay his agent, which is fair. He wanted RVP as well but diden´t get him for whatever reason, the fact remains that Mancini (had) 4 strikers (costing over 20mill each) on the books already and you would like to think that he would be happy with that,

Lets not kid ourselves, Mancini has spent as much or more then most managers and he still has the nerve to bitch about his squad.

as I said not his first choices. We agree he has spent money we had to. If he got what he wanted I suspect we would be top of the league

He maybe rates but the comments coming out from his mouth are that they diden´t improve us and it isen´t the first time he had said it. Tbh, Balotelli diden´t do anything for us this season, The only I can honestly remember is against Wigan away.

Well he had to spend real money to get the top players to catch the best teams, otherwise you are just Sunderland.

Maybe, I have nothing against him spending money, I just don´t like him crying in the media about the players he diden´t get considering the money he has already spent.

Obviously you need to spend to spend money to be competitive that goes without saying.

The best run of form from our strikers was inspired by his comments about RVP.

There is sometimes method in his madness.

I'd rather he kept the money talk in house. But I think he is complaining more about how we spent the money rather than the amount of money we have spent.

He doesn't really cry,he just states a fact ,we didn't strengthen as we should've and we'd all want the fans to know I/we didn't get the players we wanted/needed if we were the manager.I know i'd want everyone to know this.

Were his targets realistic? Especially with FFP coming into fruition, I don´t think they were. I can´t neither see Mancini accepting signings that werent his, so he has to take responibilty for them, should he not?
