You can tell it's nearly derby day, the amount of negative articles appearing on newsnow is gaining pace rapidly....

To be honest its been a little disappointing so far..."win the derby or you're sacked" as if Ferran and Txiki are that stupid to base decisions on one match...and Mancini spends a few days in Abu Dhabi on a visit so secret that City confirmed it when asked..oh and Barca want to offer City a shed load of wonga plus players for Vincent because of the Mancini spat which is a story that has been knocking round for a while and well before the Mancini spat...

..frankly its not looking good for my ritual pre derby rant about basis in the media

It was probably just for the Sheikh to ask why it has gone wrong this season and what Mancini plans to do to sort these issues out for next season.

Would have been brilliant seeing the Sheikh's reaction when Mancini said 'Iz football, spend more money please.'

And we should be spending shit loads more (FFP in mind) to ensure we at least have a chance of competing. The Rags and Chelsea have very good squads, we need to be better.

Not bad though, we're still in our infancy when it comes to this but with the new boys at the top I expect us to really push on.

As long as its not pissed up the wall like Kolarov, Nasri, Balotelli, Savic, Sinclair, Rodwell, Maicon etc I'm all for it.

I'll raise you with Yaya, Sliva, Aguero et al, if that's your game?

The estranged wife of the Man City striker said she received an angry call from the star after she was pictured hugging a nightclub owner


The estranged wife of Man City striker Sergio Aguero has accused him of snubbing their young son and reneging on a child support deal after seeing pictures of her with ­another man.

Giannina, daughter of Diego Maradona, said she received an angry call from the £200,000-a-week star after she was pictured hugging a nightclub owner.

She said: “Sergio had a go at me over that photo. I told him I didn’t have to give him any explanations. He decided he didn’t want to sign what we’d agreed – things like visitation rights and child support.”

Giannina, 23, said the Argentine star, 24, did not acknowledge her or their four-year-old son, Ben, on a flight to Buenos Aires.

She denied she had blocked access after he started dating pop star Karina Tejeda, adding: “All I know is the last time he was in Argentina he didn’t see his son. You’ll have to ask him why.”
