You do know that Mancini is now going to bench Kompany for the derby...

This thread would be a 1000 pages before half-time!

Pff it would be a 1000 pages 5 mins after the teams were announced and go nuclear if we lose. Ric would be sobbing in a corner somewhere...

Didn't you get the memo?

Mancini is also on the Blue Moon payroll.

He'll drop Kompany just to get Ric a spike in traffic.

Neymar will surely stay in Brazil until the World Cup - and that will make or break him. Unproven for me

It's possible but if it was a transfer target I'm sure Txiki would've been detailed to make the trip not Mancini, especially on the scale of Neymar.

Txiki has already met Neymar and his old man on a couple of occasions since December.

It is not beyond the realms the manager is also asked to outline his own visions to a prospective target?

He was in Abu Dhabi for three days. That's not a wait outside Sheikh Mansour's office.

That's a business trip.

FFS - Mark Hughes even met Bosco - Kaka's dad in a hotel in Hamburg.

He said 'yes' by the way.

You may be right but I'm not buying in to it.

The days of the manager meeting a player/reps went when Ferran and Txiki became involved, that's their job.

Why bring more attention on business by sending Mancini, if Txiki went over we wouldn't be even talking about it?

Well we would except that it would be Txiki in secret visit to discuss Mancini's future instead of Mancini in secret visit to discuss his future. If they spotted Neymar flying to Abu Dhabi it would be Neymar in secret visit to discuss Mancini's future. For all we know the world and his fucking dog is hotfooting it over there to discuss Mancini's future.

Seriously has no one in Abu Dhabi heard of email?

-- Sun Apr 07, 2013 12:51 pm --

I heard Mancini negotiated a cut of BM gross ad revenues as part of his 5 year deal. Ric's playing hardball on the severance package hence the trip to Abu Dhabi

That was definitely the highlight of last night's fuckwummery!

Have you not been paid yet, Billy?

I got my regular Harvester buffet card yesterday.

I was getting a bit worried, actually.

The FA Cup semi-final tickets came for Zin on Thursday, so you can well imagine my relief!

I know Ric has his own kids to feed, but he's getting fucking sloppy.

Much more of this, and 'It's Quiet 12 - I am the ressurection' will never see the light of day.

Can you find out if 'Dangerous/dunderhead/Dismal' has been paid yet?

We have an understanding which goes back to the days of Thaksin. I've got a tab at the Moor Top which Ric takes care of.

Actually I don't even think we should joke about this too much. There will be someone who further down the line will post something like "FFS they even admitted that Ric pays them". This is the level of fuckwummery we're reaching at the moment.

The only way to find out if Neymar would succeed or flop would be to try him...

To dispell him before kicking a ball is ludicrous.

The trouble is "trying him" will cost us the better part of £80m (fee and wages). Why take that punt, when there are cheaper, proven alternatives?

Some on here were touting Jovetic, well what I saw of him against England certainly didnt lift my skirt..

Neymar isnt just a name...hes an incredible footballer.

I'd certainly agree about Jovetic. Looked very one paced against England, but then again so did Neymar

You have taken an observation that he failed to impress in a particular game, and inferred that that must be the only time we've seen him play..........

One of the reasons that I favour a chnage of coach is that I really want it to be true that Txiki intends the whole club to go 4-3-3 as the base formation.

Neymar might fit quite nicely into such a formation. Playing fantasy football (in a world free of FFP) for a moment, a front three of Aguero, Cavani and Neymar might be entertaining; with Kun and Neymar in the Pedro / Villa roles. We'd need to add a Busquetsesque player to supplement Yaya and Silva unless Rodwell can stay fit and step into that role.

Yeah, yeah, dream on.

Wouldn't surprise me mate. Thought I'd fallen into transfer forum

To be fair you weren't too far wide of the mark! Not easy to get to see Neymar play.........

He's not a player I think would succeed in the Prem. Overhyped on an epic scale. Would much rather go for Isco, who was excellent against Dortmund the other night, and who would be half the price

I'd not say no to Isco either, but Neymar and Isco are on completely different planets. Now yes, there is a lot of hype surrounding Neymar, but it's not been created by a PR agency. The lad is mentally talented.

Plus as Samharris rightly points out, the only way we're going to find out is if we sign him and try. I'd certainly not want him rocking up at the Rags or Chelsea.

Still, the point that needs to be made is that Isco has actually competitively, and consistently, played against European club competition and shown that he is a talent. Until Neymar arrives and does the same I think they are on more of a level plain than people think.

Especially if you have watched the Brazilian League.

Very fair points. Though I think the quality of the Premier league is held to a unrealistically high standard.

On my phone now but if this discussion migrates to the Neymar thread I'll add further tuppence there.

Other way round mate think. I'm regularly in contact with 5 Brazilian mates of mine (one of whom I'm staying with for the World Cup next year at his 5 bedroom gaff in the SP outskirts, cashback), and they all want Neymar to move to Europe in summer, even the one who supports Santos, so that Neymar can acclimatise himself to playing against physical, aggressive defenders. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see him move this summer.
