Couldn't let this condescension go. 441 posts hardly makes you a BM legend.Be careful you are in danger of sounding like Didsbury Dave.

I think its time Mancini started playing players who are in form and deserve to play rather than his "best 11" and treating all players the same. I'm looking at the Dzeko situation, this season he seems to be giving it his all, playing well and fighting for a first team place but the problem is he will never get treated the same as Aguero or Balotelli (in a discipline way). Now whilst I agree that Aguero is a better player than Edin however as a manager you have to play your players who are in form regardless of their reputation. Aguero is injured for 4 weeks while Tevez and Dzeko have been playing well then when he recovers he automatically brings Sergio back into the team, that is poor management IMO. Everyone could see that Sergio wasn't fully fit but yet he still started him over Tevez and then he subbed of Dzeko who was the best player on the pitch and kept Aguero on who had his worst game for city and looked nakered is just a crazy decision.

Look at the difference between Milner and Silva and Lescott and Kompany. Milner can play have a good game and get dropped the following week where as Silva who has been shite since February constantly gets picked. Lescott has been no worse than Kompany this season I would even say Lescott has been better but yet Lescott is the one who gets dropped.

Now I will agree with most people's view that Aguero, Silva and Kompany are more important to the team than Dzeko, Milner and Lescott however any player playing for City should get a fair opportunity and that doesn't happen. I just think it must be hard for players like ED, JL and JM to keep motivated knowing that if given half the chance Mancini would replace them.

If they cant keep motivated they just have to fuck off anywhere. The world if full of average players like them with whom you'll never win anything
Y
Its the managers job to keep players motivated also Milner and Dzeko are average players who Mancini signed so why sign a player for 20+ million if they are average?

Becouse Also top teams need average players like them. Did you look Real Madrid bench ?

But they must accept to be average and if they cannot then must go.

Does that apply to Balotelli then? because at the minute Dzeko is a lot better than Mario

In your mind.
And anyway Mario has never moaned when benched nor looked for excuses like "confidence". He has grown in a top team and knows that have to fight for a place

May not have moaned but he has had more childish and stupid acts of petulance during his time at City than the rest of the team combined (apart from Tevez). I agree with your view on Mario that he has grown in a top team and can play a role however I still maintain that Dzeko is the better player. Dzeko carried Wolfsberg to the Bundesliga title and from what I have seen of Mario he will always be a squad player for a top team but he will never be a key player for them.

Agree with this to a large extent. Harsh facts of life. They are extremely well paid and know it's "dog eat dog". With this in mind we need to maintain a target list of good replacements in case they either fuck off or get shown the door. That's presumably up to Marwood as much as anyone.

However I do think RM could manage the situation better than he currently does. Things get glossed over when you are sweeping all before you and magnified when you are not.

Strange how the best football we played over the last 12 months occurred with both those players in the team, I suppose this was in spite and not because of them.

Even still you don't spend 20+ million on an average player, what also worries me is the fact that we brought in players like Milner and Dzeko who were stars at their previous clubs but we don't play them to their strengths which is Ok when things are going well but then why buy a player who isn't going to fit our system? surely our scouts could have seen this.

I meant to say if they are average players. Personally I think Milner is average when at a top club but I think Dzeko is a class player.

To offer something else, if all of our players were brought to fit the system only, then on occasions when the system wont work ( there will be many such occasions ) then we will fall flat on our faces

Wolfsburg wasnt a top team. What competiton had dzeko at wolfsburg ?

From what dzeko has shown at City its safe to say he'll never be good enough for a top team where confidence players destiny is to fail.
