Mangala joins Valencia on a Permanent deal

He was awesome in his first game away to Chelski, good luck for the future, but overall has been a waste of money.
Could’ve past FFP if we hadn’t got him !

Shouldn't we leak to the rags were about to offer him a huge contract extension but he wants to keep his release clause of £70,000,000 in place.

I read an interview he did very soon after he joined. He described how his younger brother had been tragically brain injured and how he would look after him. Came across as a completely genuine good human being. Have felt sad at how his career has developed with us - he clearly isn't a Pep player but he has always been 100% professional. I wish him all the best wherever he ends up.

Me too. I don't think we've had a player since moving to the Etihad that I so desperately wanted to get it right.

Up there with Jo, RSC and Bony in terms of worst value for money transfers in our history.

If you look at the transfer fee, his wages, the number of games played, duration of contract, his contribution when he did play (yes he was good on his debut and United) his playing stats, his refusal to leave to anybody other than Inter for no money.......then only RSC is even close. Jo was a superstar in comparison! If he subsequently leaves on a free he will go down as the worst buy any team has ever made imho not just City. However he has got a nice smile so that balances it all out.

Myths: It’s only a Pep team that he can’t play for...talk to Everton fans! He has great pace...very slow over the first five yards..by the time he caught up the ball was in the net. He never scored but managed to put it in his own net twice.

Disaster of a player. I don’t think we will see the like again.
