Maybe just a coincidence but I thought he might be done when he started talking about how he didn't want to be at the club world cup like a week or so before it kicked off.

Just struck me as being out of sync with the club's perspective and wasn't the sort of mentality you'd want from a player going into a competition where millions were at stake.

Pep relied on Akanji in the CWC, doubt that is the reason.

We have decided to go with Khusanov. Pep made several positive comments on Khusa recently after barely playing him in the US. Apparently, he has changed his mind and has decided to go with Khusa. Let's hope Khusa will be great. He will get chances.

Getting back what we paid for him is sound business, especially given he was 30 last month.
He has been an excellent ‘left field’ signing and proves you don’t always need to spend tens of millions to get the right player.
Hope he does well at Galatasary and smashes Fenerbahce whenever they meet…

Don't think he's lazy at all,not in a playing or training sense. Just don't think playing football is the be all and end all it is for some. Think it's just a job, not the only footballer like that and nothing wrong with it.

I was on the fence we signed Akanji not knowing much about him but he took like a fish to water under Pep and really was a solid defender for us. Never complained, always did his best, and was pretty damn good too I might add!

We are getting very close to having the 17 foreign players that can fit on a CL a list. It's a result as having players you can't register and play is just rank bad management and when other clubs know you are desperate to get stuff done they have you over a barrel.

Ederson will be the next to go.
