Would rather see Kompany in Fernando's place. Think he'd get his form back. Glad Navas and Bony start though.

Vinny isn't a midfielder. He played there for a couple of games under Hughes as an emergency measure. Despite strange reports, he never played there for Hamburg or Anderlecht on a regular basis either and only did so when they were short on players.

Zabaleta has played for us in centre midfield quite a few times too and he doesn't get mentioned in this bracket.

I've been putting it down to the fact that he's mint in midfield on computer games.

I never said he 'was a midfielder'. I think he has the ability to play there and be a lot more reliable than Fernando.

Kompany and Fernando don't play the same position...... No way could Kompnay be a defensive midfielder and run around all day. Plus his rash challenges he would be sent off in 5 minutes.

You obviously have your opinion of Pellers and that's fine and no matter what decision he made, you would probably question. But if you cannot see that Vinnie (and Zab) deserved to be dropped, then you haven't been watching them both recently
