The manager gets judged by results, he got the one he needed tonight. Still think we were too wide open to counter attack but the width provided by Navas was probably the key tonight. It was a far from convincing performance, again I think Fernando is too easy to go past.

A bit of a rest now for 10 days before the pressure cranks up again.

He didn't get the one he needed tonight. He lost the one he needed on Sunday. It's one thing beating Leicester and the like but our record against the top teams is abysmal and as a result we'll end up without a trophy in a couple of months.

I think this subject has been exhausted over the last few days, we won tonight nothing has changed either way, just enjoy the win i say

Definitely still a lot wrong with the team and the way they were set up. I think it's all about making sure we get top 3, picks the right team and have a good go at the Nou Camp and reassess in the summer. Watching tonight though still don't think he is learning as we are so wide open to counter it's ridiculous.

He absolutely got the one he needed tonight.

We won at home and kept a clean sheet.

Can't imagine if he lost you'd be on here suggesting that the Leicester result doesn't matter. This is always the thing with these type of fans, if Pellegrini does something right then it was nothing but if he does something wrong then it's a disaster.

You've lost the ability to think rationally and impartially about him. If I was you, I'd withdraw from the conversation for a few weeks and see if you gain some perspective.

X2

I am prepared to give Pellegrini the benefit of the doubt last year. My take is that we had the best squad by an absolute country mile and just scraped it on the last day. But it was his first season in a new league and something else the previous 12 months he'd lost both his parents. So the fact he also won the Capital Cup he did well.

However this year despite Chelsea strengthening so did we. On paper. Adding Mangala to a supposedly strong defence. Fernado protecting that defence. It should have been enough to give it a good go. But we look a shambles defensively and attacking wise we are lethargic and one dimensional albeit occasionally sparkling.

So for me unless there is strong finish to the season he needs to go. More worrying is Kun looked depressed. And that's what happens to top players when the CL is a disaster year after year. It's the tournament foreign players want to play in more than any other.

Congrats to him on playing Fernando against a team playing a back eight. At least he had the balls to show Kompany he doesn't run the team and pick himself I suppose.

Also, Jovetic must be gone as he hasn't had a sniff of the bench since Pellers left him out of the CL squad.

Decent win, but the damage is done.
You seem a bit gutted that we won?

We didn't see anything new from Pellers tonight. He's a one trick pony and will not change no matter what. If we roll up at the nou camp and play as open as we did tonight we will get massacred. Kolorov will play there and that will be fatal I'm afraid. Sagna's fine defending but his forward play is terrible and as we need goals it has to be zabba for me. Fernando should only play if ferandiniho is playing as well. 4-2-3-1 might give us a fighting chance , but rest assured it will be 4-4-2 with only one alongside Yaya.

3 points but the style of football was dull and scrappy at times.

Does that mean he's under pressure?

Good win, Navas must have a run now for the rest of the season, Mangala better tonight, as was Sagna

Bony trying too hard but I fail to see what he brings to the side, Fernandinho over Fernando please

The rest will do Zabba and Vinny good, expect to see them back to form away at Burnley

Look far more balanced with 1 striker though, his obsession with 2 is baffling.
