A large reason that we will see a much better defence of the title this time round is that he has the respect and admiration of the players, I think we'll successfully defend the PL under Manuel.

Bill, I'll pick you up on this again.
Had we beaten Wigan, we would have had to fit 4 games in with only 3 available (non CL) weeks.
We'd have had to play Sat/Tue/Thu/Sun or something horrible like that, and most likely not won the league.

Not saying he threw it or owt, but being in a cup final probably would have lost us the league.
