Manuel Pellegrini

Ignore all these comments about the manager by the players. They're not going to criticise him in public are they. I'm sure you'll find all kinds of positives comments from the players about Mancini after the 2011-12 season,

More importantly there are no whispers in the media or from ex-players about any problems in the camp, and on the pitch we have been brilliant after resolving the early season away form.

The only issue for me this season has been that we haven't made full use of players like Micah, Rodwell and Jovetic. These 3 were all injured in the opening months, but were fit thereafter.

All our confidence comes from the manager,” said Toure, speaking to the Manchester Evening News. “He let me attack. I always enjoy attacking.”

Toure believes that Pellegrini's arrival and the departure of Roberto Mancini has been a big reason for City's rise to the top of the Premier League this term, with the new manager's trust in his players, getting the best out of them.

Asked about the difference from 12 months ago, Toure said: "You want me to be honest? The atmosphere, the manager and the confidence, that’s the difference between last year and this year.

"He [Pellegrini] trusts the players, the philosophy is about all the quality we have in this team. That’s the big difference."

That will be Ya Ya on the cuntbus for this lot, next to Les Chapman ;-)

I imagine it will be the Mail because Toure didn't say that, Nasri did, word for word

He didn't get manager of the year because he thinks Garcia is a better player than Fernandinho.

If Garcia had got a second yellow against Everton (as he maybe should have), or if Hart's fingertips hadn't have stopped Naismith's shot when Barkley glided past Garcia, or if the ref had given a penalty when Garcia tugged Deulofeu's shirt, we wouldn't have won the league and the media would be all over Pellegrini, rightly asking why the best squad in England hasn't won the league. Garcia is shit and can't run, and the fact that Pellegrini can't see that gives away the fact that he isn't ever going to be a great manager and will end up going the same way as Mancini.

I don't wanna piss on anyone chips since we've just won the league but why not try and keep our feet on the ground and celebrate the success of the club rather than turning individuals into Mancini-like idols only for the forum to be heartbroken a year down the line when he gets found out. Fair enough if we'd won the league by 15 points, but he was a lucky decision away from underachieving.

Also your point about Hart's save is a fucking wank one too - that is what he is paid to do, and frankly Manual did a brilliant job managing Joe Hart this season, which Joe has admitted himself.

And Garcia isn't paid to do a job?

Go to 10:20 and 13:00 on the Everton highlights and you'll see exactly why he is such an embarrassingly poor player next to those that are around him. If you still can't see it, then quite frankly I couldn't give a fuck. You simply won't ever get it.

Close mate, however it's nashark, a known wum

I said Mancini would be sacked, he was sacked. I said Balotelli would be a disaster for us, he was a disaster. Supported Kompany, Richards when they were getting slagged off. I said we needed to bring Tevez back if we wanted to win the league. I was one of the few that weren't creaming themselves over the thought of signing Rooney. Said we shouldn't sell De Jong or replace Johnson with Sinclair. Said we should play Kolarov instead of Clichy if we wanted to score more goals - he's got more assists than any other defender. Fuck me, if I'm a 'wum' (you should be embarrassed if you are an adult male and are using that term) then what the fuck are you?

To be honest, I'm not interested in a massive debate and I honestly don't know who you are and I don't care, but I'm actually one of the few on here who supports City rather than the managers and players of the club, and just wanted to remind everyone of how upset they got when it turned out that Mancini wasn't the idol they thought he was.

so a player has couple of iffy minutes and he is shit? With every post you get sillier

UEFA pro licence course?

He's very much in the Bobby Robson mould in his class and dignity.

Lol, I was thinking am I crazy or what. Nasri said exactly that on the stage of Parade.

2 outta the 5 down for the fella.

Like many I was sad to see Mancini go but Pellegrini has shown us he's an excellent manager and one that is refreshingly calm and dignified compared to most managers who seem more obsessed with themselves and wanting to come off as a genuis. There ain't many like Pellegrini anymore.

Extremely proud to be a chilean. So happy for what Pellegrini accomplished this season. I still remember many Man City fans were saying he had won fuck all in Europe when he was hired.. he shut alot of mouths!

Let's hope he picks the right reinforcements and City can try going for Champions League in the seasons to come!

I don't remember that? I remember thinking he'd done a good job at Malaga and wouldn't commit until their season over, so not to disrupt the players. Also thought very unlucky with the Madrid job.
