It's rare you see Pellegrini lose his composure like that, but he was clearly rattled today and rightly so. It was a shocking performance from Clattenburg and, as mentioned in another thread, you can't put it down to incompetence because every significant decision went against us. That wasn't a coincidence.

He should certainly be asked to explain what was clearly a biased performance. It may well be that certain individual officials dislike particular teams and that impacts upon their decision making. You have to hope that's all it is.

There's enough data to prove conclusively that Clattenburg cannot be trusted to fairly officiate at a City game and he shouldn't be allowed to in future.

He has some history of officiating unfairly against us for quite a while, going back to his remarks about Bellamy before sending him off for next to nothing,i think against Bolton. He is one of three i would be happy to never see in the middle of another game concerning us,the other two being Mason and Dowd.

We shouldn't be having to "hope" that's all it is, but its 2 games in a row now, with Mason giving us f*ck all against Stoke 2 weeks ago. We'll never get to the point where any ref doesn't ref our games, because we don't complain enough.

I've only seen the BT after match with MP, but I didn't think there was anything in his interview that merited a fine, but good on him for reacting.

Also good on him for telling the idiot that he wasn't going to discuss the keeper situation, its obvious who is number 1 right now, because he's playing with a number 1 on his back, and in the biggest games, so it was a stupid question.

Personally, although I know it will not really make a difference and I will probably get the standard pat on the head response, I am writing to the FA and the Referees Association to ask them why this excuse for a referee is still allowed to officiate at the big games (or any games for that matter).

Wasn't Clattenberg investigated once before?

He was banned for life, then it was reduced to 8 months. He is a morally questionable man and it has been proven. IMO he is an egomaniac with the wrong mindset to be an impartial referee and he quite clearly takes sides during matches.

Interesting what Graham Poll said about this situation:

Pellegrini has an issue with Clattenburg which goes back over a number of games. He truly believes that Clattenburg appears to be consistently going against his team.

The Chilean is not a manager who plays mind games so this is a genuine belief which he must resolve in his mind and perhaps a meeting would be beneficial between the two.
