Marc Bola charged with misconduct

a bit like FIFA eh? UEFA take action against Hungary - FIFA don't and guess what - a load of racist thugs attend a match and everyone on here is wringing their hands saying why didn't FIFA act in the same way as UEFA - to do nothing encourages others.
About a bad a take as I've seen on the subject.

What cause did FIFA have to ban them?

They couldn't ban them for offences committed under UEFA competition rewrite the rules retrospectively to impose the sanctions in their competitions.

If a footballer gets a suspension from UEFA competition they are still eligible to play in domestic games.

Yeah exactly that. Or maybe because we already have equality and diversity training in many occupations in the UK. Particularly public sector or public facing roles.

As footballers are "role models" whether they want to be or not, it's reasonable to expect them to behave by certain guidelines on social media. It isn't reasonable to expect them to behave by those guidelines if they aren't informed what those rules are or before they are professional footballers.
Role model, he was an unknown 14yr old ffs

We prefer to wait until they're sleeping and preferably on a train before we do our slapping.

Wait what! If he's asleep on the train how can he be woke, or did he become woke after he was slapped while sleeping, is this like non binary insomnia where one minute you can choose to be asleep and then at the flick of a wrist you can choose to be woke.

The tweet was bought to the attention of the FA by a fan of an opposing club he'd scored against.

A sad **** trawled his media as some sort of petty victory. And now the FA are acting Bertie big bollocks over it.

It depends what they get suspended for. There are plenty of things a player can do that will get them banned from all football for a period of time. When Suarez bit his opponent in the FIFA World Cup, that didn't stop him getting banned from the Premier League for nine matches. There's absolutely no excuse for FIFA to basically undermine anti-racism punishments because of a technicality, and it should definitely be changed from now on (but I can't imagine this is the first time it's happened).
