Yep - they’ve absolutely rinsed Chelsea for every drop they could get out of them on this deal.

They’ll end up with the total value of our entire package (including add ons) mostly up front - plus one of Chelsea’s most exciting Academy prospects and a ready made replacement (given where Cucurella played for them) on top.

As a stand alone deal, you can’t fault it!

If you don’t think he’s anything special why were we in for him? Having identified him as a suitable player and having shown our hand by selling zinchenko we then low balled it . Now we have to divvy up or walk away which is not the outcome we clearly planned. Either way we I think we have handled it very poorly… Cue the ‘my club right or wrong’ bunch.

Ok firstly how do I answer your first bit? I as in me, doesnt think he’s special, the club I can’t answer for so??? As for low balling, the initial indication was £35m so we offered it, they then moved it to £50m and now everyone is saying pay it.. problem is it isn’t £50m buys him as they are now briefing offers “in excess of” £50m so that’s their we’ll sit down lowest offer to talk figure. But as I say the top LB in the world have gone for similar fee’s so why does he justify that price tag? Still not had anyone answer me lol.
