Can we please now delete this thread?
Most of those links were fake outside of the defensive players. And that makes sense seeing as they needed to replace 3 CBs. Kounde, Kimpembe, Ake are all legit. And they couldn't get deals with 2 of them. So they moved on.It's not arrogance, it's an opinion. Liverpool will be strong, Spurs will be strong. Chelsea will be a mess IMO.
Koulibaly is not much of an upgrade on Rudiger, if at all.
Cucurella is an upgrade yes but £63m on an unnecessary player when they still have huge holes in the squad? Hm.
IF they sign de Jong and Aubameyang they will be good players but Auba is hardly a guaranteed success and Frenkie will be on monstrous wages. Also Frenkie is another player they don't really need when there are others they do.
Scattergun is absolutely the correct way to describe them with the number of targets they have gone through.
Koundé, Kimpembe, Aké, Dembélé, Lewandowski, Ronaldo, Neymar, Raphinha, de Ligt, Jesus, Laporte, Gnabry
They are going for every big name on the market and failing on most of them, their transfer strategy does NOT scream "I have a plan, I know what I'm doing", it screams "scattergun".
My prediction is they will miss out on top 4 and Tuchel will be the first top 6 manager to lose their job.
Are you a personal confidant of Boehly? Most of those links were fake outside of the defensive players.

Rudiger was there last year?? so was Lukaku?Aubamayeng is better than any striker they have. Also Koulibally is an upgrade on no centerback. Ridiger wasn't there. He has left.
Not really. Chelsea gets the similar 'money bags' slander. So it's not special to us. Never the less. A lot of people think they've been has by Brighton. Myself included.I don't think it's an arrogance at all, More surprising that Chelsea have spent £63m on Cucurella, They bought Chilwell for around the £50m mark too. It's funny though because when we do it we are ruining football and it shouldn't be allowed happen, When Chelsea do it "It's good business".
Except if the players you identified are also identified by other clubs and they chose that other club. Which was clearly the case with Kounde and Raphina both clearly preferred Barcelona and dragged their feet waiting for that opportunity to materialize before deciding. If Abramovic was in charge It's a given that that identify 3 or 4 players in a window and go out and get them and get it done early never any fucking about.
That's one way to look at it. Another way would be this. This new owener has come on and they are making bids for literally anybody, Kimpembe, Kounde, Raphina, Ake ect It seems like the time Sheikh had just taken over and we were bidding for everyone to make a statement doesn't matter who we get as long as we sign players. Chelsea should be long long past that stage.
They play a back 3 they need more than 3 CBs and 1 makeshift. Not really. Chelsea gets the similar 'money bags' slander. So it's not special to us. Never the less. A lot of people think they've been has by Brighton. Myself included.

Dani Alves for the same to us. You can't do anything about that. How this really works is that you identify options at different positions of need and go down your list. Nothing wrong with that. We did the same with our CB search. But somehow it's scatter gun when Chelsea does it?
That's one way to look at it. Another way would be this.
1. We need upgrades in our Frontline across the board. Sterling, Raphina, Dembele, Neymar will be upgrades as wide forwards, sign 2. They wrapped Sterling up early and agreed to a fee for Raphina. Then he pulled a Dani Alves.
We need CBs to replace 2 departed starters and a 3 CB. So they pencil in Koulibally, Kounde and Ake. Koulibally signs. City priced them out of Ake and Kounde pulled an Alves too.
They are also trying to get rid of more players who aren't good enough: Barkley, Ziyech, Werner, Alonzo, Pulicic. These player need upgraded
Cucurella is one of those upgrades. The re-signing of Azpiculetta esses the need for a 4 CB. and they might get a 2nd RB instead.
None of this is particularly scatter gun. Any more than we will be scatter gun for getting a different LB after failing to get Cucurella.
Hence the interest in Aubamayeng and another CB. Fofana at present. Are you a personal confidant of Boehly?
They couldn't get deals with any of them
Rudiger was there last year?? so was Lukaku?
They lost Christensen, Rüdiger and Lukaku for a combined £9m.
They have spent £175m and replaced just one of them.
IF they sign their final targets they'll have had a good window but 2 of the 3 most important deals are not done and the season is starting. They have brought in a bunch of players who will need time to gel and almost none of them were their first choices.Hence the interest in Aubamayeng and another CB. Fofana at present.
No but those positions surely take priority.BTW are you suggesting they should only upgrade the positions where theyve lost players?
Cucurella is a decent signing just wildly overpriced. They shouldn't upgrade weak positions? An injury prone Chilwell and wantaway onso are worth upgrading on. I don't see the issue here.
Oh I thought you meant they didn't need any more. My bad.The signing of Azpiculetta means they only need to sign 1 more CB. As Azpiculetta serves as CB often
