yes, the fact you're assuming every single barca youth graduate would treat us as a stepping stone is disrespectful. That literally happened ONE time in our entire fucking history for a player I couldn't give less of a shit about (garcia). Also, cucurella has said multiple times he loves england and wants to stay here.

That's a fair point, but I think we both know that the £100m player in question has thus far failed to live up to that price and it could even be stretched to say he was a flop, second season gives him that chance I suppose.
I agree with you point though, but our spending previously has never really been of that ilk

We are paying that much because the fcking release clause, if he didn't have that back then it will be 150m for him if Villa have more say with the price tag.

City think he worth more not only his footballing skill but beyond that like marketing potential.

Well, he has also said this:
"Barça will always be Barça. It's my home. We would all like to return home one day. I work for myself, to have a good career. If one day the possibility comes up to return to Barça, the truth is I would be delighted."

Not that far fetched to think he would probably want to leave if Barcelona showed any real interest in bringing him back in the future. With that said I dont really see any problems with it, players come and go every year. As long as he does his job for us when he's here, I dont really see an issue.
