The way that Brighton are conducting negotiations by leaking information to the media is not very professional. It shows a lack of integrity and I wouldn't be surprised if City did walk away.
Since the day Khaldoon arrived the club has made it clear about the way we do business. We are not going to allow anyone to take the piss out of us. Those days are over and we leave that stort of nonsense to our Trafford rivals. Personally I support the club adopting this position. This attitude has served us well in recent seasons. There are certain agents and organisations who we just won't deal with because they are cowboys or criminals. That's fine with me.
 
There's something very odd about that Naylor tweet. Is it worth anything whatsoever?
“Brighton have ended discussions with Manchester City.” What exactly were these discussions, which have been going on for several weeks, about?
“We want £50 million.” “Well, let's talk about this.” “£50 million. Not a penny less!” There's only so much mileage you can get out of that.
