Because we announced Phillips just after saying goodbye to Jesus. And then pol balus or someone else o twitter said that is how we operate apparently. So now it is the only way we do business.
We will probably see movement this week. Proper. Akes replacement, hopefully doesnt follow this pattern. Would be nice to have a player lined up before agreeing a deal with Chelsea

true mate but its a forum and you think he`s going to stay with no real factual noise about that either?

Two things I guess. I didn't claim to base it on anything 'factual', or deduce it from any 'noise'. It is entirely my own opinion pulled out of my own arse. Based loosely on watching zinch and the team.

And the other is, happy players don't need to advertise they are happy. Players seeking a move may or may not make noise if it might help them, although the way the club handle things makes it almost pointless if not counterproductive to do so. Not sure how an adsense of Zinchenko claiming he wants to stay when nobody claimed he wants to leave means anything really.

i think the next couple of days there will be positive news on this. If Pep had 3 main targets of Haaland, Phillips and Cucurella then txiki will deliver the 3 main ones that he wanted imo.
I am sure Brighton have told us their price, it's now a matter of negotiating the terms of payment/ possible player exchange.

If Cucurella moves, did Potter tell Cucurella he doesn’t want him at the club then? He’s under contract after all. ;)

I agree that Zinch is a good at attacking. He does well to advance the ball up the pitch under a high press. He does well linking up with the left winger and left sided 8. However, the one thing he cannot do is to defend the way Walker does on the left and I think that's the one thing we are missing. Someone who has good recovery pace defending on counter attacks and who can also go on an overlapping run into space in attack. Cucurella is better suited for this. For the record I do hope Zinch stays and we can have 4 fullbacks.

He's also a bit short to handle long high balls pumped up field if he's being put under pressure by a fairly burly opposition attacking player. We've seen him in difficulty more than once in that scenario.
Do I need to add that I'm a Zin fan and I kind of agree with your last statement. I just think that we do now need an accredited full back. There is a problem with your last statement, because the question then arises, where is Zin played? Midfield? He's a midfielder, a genuine one, you can see it by the quality of the balls he plays in from the left touchline, but we happen to have the best club midfield in the world. That's been the problem all along. I honestly don't think Zin should settle for early rounds of the League Cup and F.A. Cup, and crumbs off the table of occasional PL games. He's too good for that.
It's a conundrum. I like the guy so much, and he's such an honest character, that I'm now almost at the point where I'd rather see him playing in his genuine position at another club (a good one, obviously, and not Liverpool or United) and fulfilling himself as a footballer.

i think we all kind of knew if was going to be a £45-50m transfer fee didnt we?
This isn't going in the same direction as the other deals. It's so similar to Kane where we believed the player to be overvalued so didn't really put in too much effort. I hope he comes but Brighton could be asking for £70/80m and we only want to pay £45m

nah mate i think we would have made it public as we do when we have walked? A world class striker was always going to be a pain to get like last summer as there was only 2 or 3 worthy of joining us to make us better in reality? There would be numerous LB options available but i think and it has been floated around over the last few weeks that the number brighton want is £50m and i personally think we are just working on the structure of getting it there ? There could be a player loan or purchase involved as well i reckon.

£30m + Delap?

I can't see him getting into the team for a number of seasons with Haaland and Alvarez. I guess we could put him on the bench but I don't think it's fair on his development.

I'm sure Brighton would look after him better if it's a sale rather than a loan option and Delap would appreciate the opportunity to play regularly under a good coach in Potter.

Yep and whether Brighton are even interested. Lots of ifs and buts!

I'm sure we'll get Cucu one way or the other.

i think it gets done this week and he travels to the states with the squad. The Ake situation i think goes on for a couple of weeks yet.
