We haven't got short memories just that we are a totally different proposition now. We got our half decent players sold to a bigger more successful club, now we are that club. Such is life.
Very true but never forget where you came from because one day we may be back there.

Spot on.

And given the welcome and hospitality Brighton have greeted us with in recent seasons....fuck em.

Exactly. I still remember them booing the fuck out of us and kicking us to bits in a nothing game for them, when we had a huge European game coming up. The harsh facts are nobody gives a fuck about any football club but their own and that includes Brighton fans. It's not arrogance, or having to be humble, it's Cucurella improving our squad, for us that's all that counts. That's football, always has been, always will be.

Can see he’s maybe not worth 50 to you, but he probably is to us - pretty much irreplaceable at the moment at our level (as shown by the donkeys we keep getting linked with as ‘replacements’). Add the fact we don’t need to sell and looking less likely a deal will get done IMO - only unknown factor if the extent to which he’s pushing for it (and none of us have much of a clue on that)
lol. he's pushing alright .
a little team of no mark cloggers or play for the best team the PL has seen .
you choose .

I don't know what you're on about pal. I was there when we won the league at Brighton, and they couldn't have been more hospitable for us on the day. It would have been very easy for them to have been hostile and bitter as we were all taking the piss a bit, but they were calm and friendly all day long. I'll always have a soft spot from Brighton for that great day.

They have a player they value highly under contract, we have no right to get this player. If we want to buy him we'll have to pay what Brighton are prepared to sell him for. Let's not act like spoilt brats - like United fans. If we can't do a deal, it is what it is and we need to get over it and move on. Like we did with Kane last summer.

Just because we are rich and successful doesn't mean we can bully other teams into selling their best players. Let's act with class and dignity. Let's not act like Barca/Real/United/Munich. Indeed I think the club act with said dignity when it comes to transfers, but certain elements of the fanbase at times let us all down.
hope they go down . league one club.

I wouldn't say we'll be back to the old days but I'm smart enough to know that things in football go in cycles and one day when Pep rides off into the sunset there could be a lull or a flattening out of the curve of success.
No doubt we'll lose the JCL's who are giving us older fans a bad name with their entitled feelings , thus encouraging posters to tar us all with the same brush. You see, the entitled fans are the ones that weve had for the last 10 years who've known nothing but success.
They'll be the first to jump ship if trophies dry up whereas the old skool like myself and many others will simply roll our sleeves up and get on with it.
