In a year Reis and Bah will have cut their teeth playing regular football in europe and be ready to come into the 1st squad, saving us 30/40M. altogetherId rather they spend the 30/40m now rather than just knowing they can get him for free next year.

Don’t think he’s any more than a squad player-level of signing for any top club. Good ball playing centre back but probably as good as Akanji in good form. Less mistake prone but given the attackers around Europe he’ll need VVD to be the leader next to him.

See him as very similar level to ake when we signed him from Bournemouth. Leader as well. £35m isn’t a lot these days either, especially for an established PL player with international caps.
It’s infuriating that we don’t gazzump those scouse cunts. Our defence is nowhere near good enough. Stones and Ake always injured, Akanji not good enough, Khusanov young and unproven. Guehi with Gvardiol would be a brilliant partnership.

Parrish has threw Glasner under the bus this summer, and I don't care if his mind has been elsewhere fighting that Europa League CAS case. That was a mistake by their co-owner they knew would shoot them in foot back in April before they even made the final.
Pino from Villarreal for £26m and Borna Sosa from Ajax for £3m is the only real business they have done this window and they have lost Eze and Ghuei. They never replaced Olise last year either.
Exceptionally poor squad management for a team that could have had a real shot at the Conference League this year. They only just narrowly got past Friedrikstad in the play offs.
