Marco Motta

If he can't get in Roma's team, how is he good enough for us? Granted that Roma are 3rd in Serie A but it's a joke league at large these days. Can't our scouting system find some amazing upcoming talent in Russia, Norway, or Argentina?

well, for one thing Roma have right fullbacks coming out of their ears. there's no shame in being behind cicinho.... they also have cassetti, who is a very similair player to Motta, but has the advantage of being very experienced, and burdisso can fill in very nicely at right back.

Gotta agree with LoveCity, can't see how he would be better than what we have already if he can't even make it into Roma's team.

Marco is a pretty decent right back i like the guy. He was on loan at Roma last season and he impressed them so much so that they've signed him right away in the summer.

spalletti (Roma's ex-manager) Rated Motta and used to play him in every game. Spalletti was fired and Ranieri replaced him and the two guys are totally different than each other. Spalletti has an attacking mentality where Ranieri is a very conservative manager so he prefers more defensive fullbacks.

Motta is more offensive than defensive which didn't work well with Ranieri so kept him on the bench. Same situation with Cicinho, Ranieri is ignoring him too.

Cheers for the info, the only problem is we need a proper solid right back who DEFENDS. If he can give us an attacking option, then its a bonus

Sayin here that its as good as done and will be done in the next 48hours. This is the website that broke the news initially.

Why do you think their leagues are stronger than serie A, flawed logic or do you run a Moscow based Arentinian Scando employment agency?
