Its absolutely fantastic business for them when you think about it. Sell Bale to the scum for 100mill and pick up Reus, who is just as good a player, for £25 mill. Simple really. Its why I think it will likely happen as its a win win for both sides. Those tramps appear eager to throw money about like its nobodies business.

But they may lose De Gea in the process,

He will be a loss if he leaves, yes. Valves isn't a shabby replacement though.

A goalkeeper who has had a serious knee injury and who is 33 years old Great business. As a couple of posters alluded to, Bale will not be the one to be pushed out just yet,

Yeah 33 is pretty old for a goalkeeper alright.

If he's going to Real madrid then there's nothing we can do about it, they're one of the few teams, perhaps the only team that we can't compete with. However, they surely have to sell if they are to bring anybody else in which still means that there will be a world class attacking player on the market come the summer. We should be going all out for whoever Real Madrid cast aside. Probably due to financial restraints but we didn't bother with Di maria, Sanchez or Fabregas last summer, We can't let one of our league rivals bring another world class player in unopposed this summer.

Completely agree. And if there's any chance at all of signing Bale we should be all over it. If he goes to the scum they'll be as big a threat as Chelsea. It's sad to see those heinous wankers having something of a resurgence, I thought we'd seen the bastards off with the 6-1 and the Moyes era.

That was always wishful thinking on the parts of many a blue. Our good fortunes simply meant we were joining the league, not that they were leaving. Now we will be in the running most years, and so would they. Every now and then someone would have a deep in form, but only to regroup and fight again. That should be the expectation. We just have to be ready year in year out.

Personally, I hope Isco gets the pink slip, and we go all out to get him here. He is the Real player I covet the most. But if anyone in Madrid is watching, they probably see the obvious, and wouldn't let Isco go. My believe is that Benzema's is the likely candidate to be dropped. Ronaldo moving to striker, and the 4 (Reus, bale, Rodriguez, and isco) will rotate amongst the 3 positions, with Jese backing up Ronaldo.

But I still hold out hope that they sell Isco to us.

I don't see them selling Isco. He's the youngest of the lot and he's also the most versatile. He's been playing in centre midfield recently since Modric got injured alongside Kroos and by all accounts done a good job there meaning he can play anywhere across a 5 man midfield. I think realistically, it'ss Bale and benzema that are the 2 likeliest the go. I think even James would be sold before Isco despite only arriving last summer.

Reus went to Bayern on my Football Manager 2015 game.
Might as well close the thread.

In a way I hope United do spunk 120m on Bale, he isn't what they need in the slightest, at that price he would be massively overpriced and it would stop them signing 3 truly world class defensive players. Bale also is not remotely marketable and wouldn't add a cent top line unlike the likes of Neymar, messi, Ronaldo etc.

I can't see it in a million years though as I don't see Van Gaal as stupid enough to spunk that much money on one player in an area that isn't even their biggest issue and honestly I don't see why Real would weaken their team replacing Bale with a crock.

I actually think we are more likely that the Rags to sign Bale and when he does go it will be more a 65m type deal and that even we would be wise to go elsewhere as I am not sure his passing and team play is good enough to improve our overall game and I think we want to sign a player who is a £££ galactico not just a great player
