It's an UAE v Qatar thing. Terrible relations between the two countries and - one would suppose - the two royal families (who own the respective clubs, of course).

Have City denied this rumour? they were pretty quick to do it with Pjanic. Can't really see PSG selling. Barca tried to get Verratti last summer but failed.

Isn't Javi Martinez their record signing at around £40 million.
They much prefer poaching German players coming to the end of their contract.
