For those who have not been keeping up with the general thread, Tolm has said we may have been offered Verratti for £80m but his injuries might be a stumbling block.

Really hope this happens, he'd be ideal for us, and still only 25.

Agreed. He's a Rolls Royce of a midfielder and has a nasty streak, which always helps in the PL.

Are his injuries that bad? Looking at his stats he played 38 games last season, 43 the season before that.

The price seems punchy but to be expected.

Between him and fern we got enough to hold over any injuries and suspensions and even play them both if necessary. Talk the price to 70m take the deal but the fact we are being offered so late in the window makes no sense to me..many clubs were looking for a cdm/cm in the window they’d have gotten a nice bidding war earlier..

Honestly mate, I couldn't think of a more perfect midfielder for us to sign.

Absolutely mustard on the ball. Intelligent. Grafts his balls off. Doesn't mind a tackle.

Could easily play as an 8 for us. Pep could mould him in to the best 6 in the world.

I get injuries are a concern but tbh aguero used to be injury prone and look at him now? I won’t get excited over this one though...seems kinda interesting though could Pep have been hinting at him being the “maybe one more”

Fully agree with all that. That price will seem like peanuts in another two years anyway.
