Marcos Lopes

It's going to be very difficult now for Lopes to force his way into the side. With potentially De Bruyne and Pogba both arriving and even more likely Nasri not leaving it's going to be difficult to find they boy a chance. Let's hope it works out well for him.

Lopes will be up against KDB, Sterling, Silva, Navas and Nasri if we end up keeping all of them. However we appear to be moving towards playing an single striker which'll allow him more opportunities it must be said, that combined with the fact he's seems to be left sided means he'll actually be against only KDB and Nasri, and if Nasri's form is anything to go by, he could get a fair few starts in this transitional season before becoming truly second choice and fighting KDB full time. If we actually get him that is.

Nasri may have more game time in a central position, he certainly looked like he was on a mission against Melbourne.

Rony is at his best centrally but can also play left or right just like nasri, silva, sterling and de Bruyne in fact the only attacking mid u might say has a set position is Navas and also sterling has already said he wants to play left wing not right.

In the last few years, we've rarely had a time when all of our key play makers have been simultaneously fit, so there's every likelihood that Lopes will see game time. Pellegrini, however, will have to be more assertive with his substitutions and introduce attackers earlier from the bench than he has done. Doing so will keep players happier but will also help us play with greater intensity throughout games rather than allow matches to drift.
