There wasn't much talent or ability from Tevez tonight but because he gave it all he's not going to get criticised or so it seems. Robbie isn't the same type of player as Tevez so isn't going to run about all game, i'm sure Robbie did his best tonight but just like most of the team he was poor

I agree with your comment about Tevez but disagree with your comment about Robinho. I'm far from sure Robbie did his best tonight because when he's firing on all cylinders (as rare as that has tended to be) he's close to being unstoppable. Tonight he was, at best, a passenger. Under those circumstances, when so little guile and class is on display by either player, give me the try hard any day of the week.

Where did the give it your all approach get Tevez tonight? He was still as ineffective as Robbie but he's a different kind of play to Robbie because he will run around all day whereas Robbie won't do that so it automatically seen by some as not giving his all but thats not what his games about and never will be and the sooner we realise that the better but still no doubt he should do better at what he's good at and thats making things happen with the ball at his feet

As for never having played football at any level, I played football regularly for 25 years in competitions that varied from the Wythenshawe Sunday League up to and including a couple of appearances in the F.A.Cup. Is that a decent enough level for me to be qualified to have an opinion on here?

If Robinho's such a world class player how come he spent a large part of his time as Real Madrid warming his arse on the bench? I never knew Hughes managed Real Madrid.

You're pushing at an open door, mate, I think we basically agree. All I'm saying is that given the choice between someone ineffective who runs and hassles regardless of the outcome and someone just as ineffective who doesn't put himself about, then the choice is fairly straight forward.

During his last season at Madrid he started 28 out of the 38 leauge games

right im tellin you now robbie is by far and away the best player at our club. the problem tonight was that if tevez wasnt playing robbie would have looked like he had a great game tonight as tevez was doing all the things that robbie would have done if tevez wasnt there, i.e. dropping deep and playing little give and go's, but taking him off after an hour when were 2-0 down for RSC, come off it now, ok he shouldnt have gone down the tunnel but id be fucking pissed off as well if i had a manager like hughes as my boss

This is spot on, how can no1 else see that Tevez always runs in to the spaces Robbie likes to run in to, thus leaving him to do fuck all....... i dont think we can have them both in the team, they get in each others way
