I think the sending-off at the Emirates was the low point for me too.
As for the free-kick against Sunderland, Mario was in the right; it should have been a right-footer from that side.
And it was very touching that he dedicated his semi-final goals to his mum. I hope he goes on to win the golden boot outright, as that would stick the proverbial two fingers up to messers Hansen, Lawrenson and Shearer.

IMO, Mario will always be targeted while Shrek will be protected from the bad press because Shrek is English and heaven forbid a black Italian is better.
But it will be clear to everyone, eventually. Mario is far superior to any English striker playing today.

I think the fiasco against (us) Arsenal was overblown. From my perspective he was your biggest threat and looked the most likely to score, everyone else didn't turn up.
Man City played a poor game and were going to lose regardless of the sending off. Think losing Yaya Toure early in the game was the reason for your sub par performance.
He was also heavily criticized against Sunderland despite scoring two goals to win Man City what was a crucial point. Not many players get made the scapegoat despite scoring a brace.
