Mario going in the summer?

Will certainly make a change as far as he is concerned.

From what I gather, Balotelli has been besieged by criticism everywhere he goes. If I were in his shoes I'd just want to play football, and prove my critics wrong. City could be the platform for him to do this.

He could be playing Champions League football next season, and proving his ability to the watching world.

I'm looking forward to seeing him play in a City shirt. It's November, and all I've seen are flashes on a TV screen.

You're just being argumentative. The thread is about Balotelli and him leaving at a time when he's not even completed one full League game.

Do you seriously think that the player and City management are looking at moving him on at the current time? Come on you are not being serious and you know it

No I'm not being deliberately argumentative. The thread is motivated by press reports. I have read them. I have read the quotes. I used the thread to respond to it in my own way, which is to prove a further point, that many football fans are ridiculously fickle. Because if it were a different player, more questions would be asked as to why he has made such an ambiguous quote and the stupidity to meet with a top brass of AC Milan.

I don't think City are looking to move him on at all. I am making the point, that like with the Tevez 'i will retire soon, I am unhappy' comments, things get brushed under the carpet because of who the player is. You don't get many fans on here saying 'oh tevez can fuck off then, if hes unhappy at the club'.

I'd say it was entirely the opposite. And plenty have had their say regarding reports about Tevez "retiring."
I just don't get who your "points" are actually aimed at?It's not City fans raking up the shit about Balotelli-it's the press!

FFS that's just silly, he went for a post-match meal at the same restaurant as the Milan top execs and had a chat with them. He's a self-confessed Milan fan and hardly the least well-known face in Italian football, did you expect them to ignore each other?

Really? I suggest your post is based on paranoia if you think that those situations don't happen frequently. I'll wager that the top brass and players of the rags and City often dine at the same establishments and exchange pleasantries, what do you read into that?

Wager? How about we have a conker fight over it whilst we are at it? (FFS!!) :-)

I would suggest if Adam Johnson was photograped having lunch with David Gill in a prestbury restaurant there WOULD be a reaction on here.

just read the link it is just a rehash of the weekend story where he had dinner in the same restaurant as ac president
i read direct quotes from mario after the italy game saying he did have dinner with galliani but he said that if he would have been having dinner with moratti would they be writing about him resigning for inter. he also got racist abuse again last night by the italian fans so after a season over here where he will be adored by us blues when he's scoring week in week out and we get a champs league place i think he'll grow to love playing in england without getting any racial abuse at games. having said that not many italians seem to take to english football/culture and with him being a bit of a loon also being thrown into the mix i suppose it isn't beyond the realms of possibility that he will fuck off next summer. one thing is for certain that if mancini wasn't here then mario wouldn't be imo, and if mancini gets the boot then i think it's fair to say that it will be bye bye mario as well. the daily mail seem to be on a 1 paper mission to force him to leave us though it seems as they've had about 3/4 articles on the milan rumours this week alone.....whether milan will have the funds is another issue of course because they still haven't secured ibra/prince boateng deals yet and i can't see mario going on the cheap if he has a good season with us.

if I came from Italy and was living in a foreign country, I'd be seeking Italians out, especially if they were associated with football.

They do mate.
And also Gio-do you seriously believe that as some of the most famous faces in Italian football-that they'd just sit and "do a deal" in the middle of a public restaurant?Seriously?
Knowing the potential consequences of "tapping up?"

Agree with you mate, I think he'll love City once he starts playing. I think it will give him a massive boost at the Stoke or Bolton game if everyone cheers when he gets the ball to show him respect kinda thing :-)
