FFS that's just silly, he went for a post-match meal at the same restaurant as the Milan top execs and had a chat with them. He's a self-confessed Milan fan and hardly the least well-known face in Italian football, did you expect them to ignore each other?

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA That is the most fucking hilariously self deceived post I have ever read. It was pure coincidence. Comedy gold
this is reportedly what he said:
The 20-year-old has been quoted by Mediaset as saying, “Until June I am certainly at Manchester City. I have a five-year contract and can’t say anything.

“It’s true that I had dinner with Adriano Galliani after the derby, but what does that mean? If I had dinner with Massimo Moratti would you say I was returning to Inter?

“What do I think of Zlatan Ibrahimovic? Ah, Ibra and I would make a very strong pairing.”

Balotelli also expressed his feelings after Italy’s 1-1 draw with Romania in an international friendly in Austria on Wednesday evening during which he was racially abused by a section of the Italy supporters.

Really? I suggest your post is based on paranoia if you think that those situations don't happen frequently. I'll wager that the top brass and players of the rags and City often dine at the same establishments and exchange pleasantries, what do you read into that?

Wager? How about we have a conker fight over it whilst we are at it? (FFS!!) :-)

I would suggest if Adam Johnson was photograped having lunch with David Gill in a prestbury restaurant there WOULD be a reaction on here.

Yes, you'd start a thread about it!

Nah, I don't treat every new city star signing as the second coming. Thus equally I can smell the fickleness and hypocrisy a mile off

You clearly didn't read my earlier post in this thread where I said I'd expect Balotelli to leave in the summer if we didn't get CL football and Mancini was sacked. I just don't see a post-Milan derby chat with Galliani as anything to fret about given the circumstances in whcih it happened.

You're just being argumentative. The thread is about Balotelli and him leaving at a time when he's not even completed one full League game.

Do you seriously think that the player and City management are looking at moving him on at the current time? Come on you are not being serious and you know it

No I'm not being deliberately argumentative. The thread is motivated by press reports. I have read them. I have read the quotes. I used the thread to respond to it in my own way, which is to prove a further point, that many football fans are ridiculously fickle. Because if it were a different player, more questions would be asked as to why he has made such an ambiguous quote and the stupidity to meet with a top brass of AC Milan.

I don't think City are looking to move him on at all. I am making the point, that like with the Tevez 'i will retire soon, I am unhappy' comments, things get brushed under the carpet because of who the player is. You don't get many fans on here saying 'oh tevez can fuck off then, if hes unhappy at the club'.
i`d be sad to see either go but if they`re unhappy then yeah they can fuck off
I think you`ll find we`re not ridiculously fickle but City fans who want the best players in the blue shirt as possible so taking the piss because they`re trying to be optimistic is endemic of this forum and maybe its you lot who are listening to the press then panicking like little girls are probable a bigger danger to our hopes of success than any tabloid bulshitter.

Bit of a paradox going on there mate. I'm certainly not panicking. Panic is on part of the silent majority when Tevez starts talking 'retirement, unhappy with football'. Panic which motivates ZERO threads on here. Johnson comes out with a comment. And its 'fuck off you little greedy cnut'. Balotelli makes a very ambiguous comment like 'until June I am CERTAINLY at Manchester City. I have a 5 year contract and CANT say anything (not WONT OR HAVE NOTHING TO SAY)' And is photographed with the brass of a club whom he also refers to playing along side one of their strikers.

But then the reaction on here is ... 'ibra must be coming to city'

It's poetic comedy

You clearly mis understand my entire point.

Take this for example. On Premium Calcio, an Italian television channel dedicated to football, when questioned about the feelings of the Man City striker, Raiola (his agent) answered: “Happy in Manchester? Not really.”

The article then contextually discusses the AC Milan link. Whether the press are creating shit, taking things out of context, are on an antic-ity agenda, MY POINT is, things like this create a narrative, and the narrative gets stronger with further quotes about Ibrahimovic, and then being photographed with AC Milan's chairman.

A narrative which the self deceived are happy to respond to with 'FFS, get a grip, making silly general non factual comments about ALL top players meet with the brass of other clubs' - whereas I prefer to look at the thing, not through the 'panic' lens, because I don't arse wipe our new signings, but from the perspective of 'we are fucking shit when it comes to dealing with PR at City' and 'another example of us not being run professionally'. Equally, there have been more explicit comments from Tevez, but no one says 'fuck off tevez, if you are unhappy, leave'

AND .. yet again, that point in every single thread post has been ignored.

If you get so distracted by the minutaie of tittle-tattle, how do you live?

You accuse City fans of being fickle. Of believing what they want to believe, of picking and choosing which news story they buy into. It's called discernment.
